This weekend is opening weekend. It is the 30th anniversary. crazy.


anywho...anyone going? I will be camping and i am doing a sweatshop this week with JYN to get my pirate done! oh yeah!!!!

 

I was thinking of checking that out, I used to go to the one up in anchorage on a semi-regular basis.

 

The 30th anniversary was actually last year.

I'd like to go. Still debating the costume thing. Can't I just be one of the muggles in street clothes for once? Pretty much almost any day I'm here works, but I do believe this weekend I'm apartment hunting when I'm not chained to the X-wing.

unless my relatives all go crazy and we decide to invade on Sunday, we probably won't get out to the ren fest for a few weeks.

I still have to decide on a pirate costume and then make it. I could always do a jack sparrow, since all those other girls at the con pulled him off so well.

 

As much as we all love Jack Sparrow, isn't he just a tad bit overdone and so well done instead by the local that there's no point? Meanwhile, we actually have a dearth of female pirates, even with the wealth of historical figures such as Anne Bonny, Grace O'Malley, and Mary Read that you could probably pull ONE of them off...
