I had a great weekend!


Things I learned this weekend:

1) Being a sleepy head, being sober, and going to bed EARLY at 10pm while the party you are helping host lasts till 2 am causes you to miss the most interesting of things. Luckily I got filled in on ALL the scoops yesterday morning.

2) That poopyhead Scotsman is always going to throw my "flowers" on the ground, but the Queen will always make him get presents for me to apologize=)

3) When you staging a "scene," always make sure that the cameras that are rolling aren't facing you to make sure that the Entertainment Director doesn't ask you later why you where crying cause it couldn't have possibly been faked. Sheesh, it is called ACTING.

4) Being called a mothering B*%$& isn't a bad thing when it helps keep people from ending up in first aid, and when you do have to take someone in first aid and the EMTs/Paramedics tell the individual that I was a good mothering B*%$& or she would probably have had to go to the ER.

5) Playing the loony daughter of the ArchBishop is great, specially the looks on peoples faces=)

6) Having a peasant, and using said peasant as a foot stool, arm rest, table, etc. really REALLY ticks some people off no matter how many times said peasant says she likes it.

7) It really doesn't matter that you are wearing underwear, tights, bloomers, and 2 pairs of socks, the skin on your legs are going to be caked in dirt by the end of the day.

8) Giving yourself a concussion getting into one of the drummer's trucks is NOT a good way to start a Sunday. My head is still throbbing.

and the resta aren't fit for a family board=)

 

Things I learned this weekend:

1.) That I suck at remembering names and faces. (I was accosted by several people who hugged me with delight saying how glad they were to see me, and I was standing there hugging them back, thinking, "Who the heck are you?")

2.) The faire serves cheap-ass wine.

3.) But I'll still drink it.

4.) I can't stand women with Entitlement Issues. (Well, I knew that, I just had it driven home for me again....)

5.) Twenty year old boys are persistent.

6.) And not always discreet.

7.) Puke & Snot actually DO change their act on occasion.

 

i just checked the forecast...calling for 82! HUZZAH!!!

I am getting new partlets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I'd have to see it for myself. They haven't changed in the last 16 years I've been going. LOL.

I was watching a bit of Mind of Mencia online and came across a Ren Faire bit that he did. Warning, it's a little crude, a little crass, but it's Carlos Mencia. That's what makes it fun.

I do believe I now have a better understanding of Colorado dirt, as I'm completely covered in it.

 

but did you spend enough time in it to have black boogers and black tar in your lungs for days on end?

 

i did...ack! quite lovely!

 

Things I learned this weekend:

1. Waking up with a UTI is never fun.

2. Strapping on a corset, no matter how loosely tied, is horrifically painful with said UTI.

3. With the above two stated points, running around in the heat (read hobbling around in pain, but sucking it up anyway because it's your friend's long anticipated wedding) is not a good idea.

4. Dan is very tall and strong and makes a great leaning post.

5. I really like Cran Grape juice, but am so sick of it right now.

6. All that cran grape juice meant I could move my stuff this Sunday without pain.

7. It is possible to eat Ben & Jerry's with a fork.

8. Squirrels like to taunt my cat.

9. My cat does not like to be taunted.

10. Use mover's gloves in the future.

 

::doubles over in sympathy pain:: I am SO sorry... Azo has awesome cranberry UTI treatment stuff. It's over by the women's... um... "medical needs" section at the store (not the same as the "supply" section, although often close by).

 

Hey now, some of us "twenty year old boys" have tact. What's really annoying is going out with a 40 year old woman who fails to mention that little detail. And when they tell you that and you get over it they're like, "oh, I also have a son that's 5 years younger then you". Always a deal breaker.

Oh, and persistence is in every man's nature

 

I know far more about this than I'd like... Azo's cranberry stuff works better than their regular stuff.

One more point:

11. Even when the inappropriately dressed heavy woman (in a chainmaille bikini top)is a friend of your date, it doesn't relieve you of the factor.

 

People really need to dress to their body type. Nothing beats Ozzfest 2003 at Tweeter Center in Camden, though...

and you guys wonder why I don't mind being blind in costume.....
