12. Just because you are in "costume" please remember there are children present and having your "assests" all over the place when you are not dressing for your body type...not a great idea.

honestly I know i am not the thinnest person, but there is a level is common decency.

DT-got some "interesting" pictures.

 

I finally attended the Ren Faire!!!! I had a blast! I found out that I am really good at throwing knives (I kicked butt!!!) and I was one of the few people who didn't walk around with mud on their butts from the morning joust arena grass because I paid attention before sitting...

 

"Oye, Dennis! There's some lovely filth down 'ere!"

 

it was an entertaining Carnival weekend that's for sure=)


And I learned the following this weekend:


-When wearing heavy eyemakeup in anticiption of your mask, but not the mask, people will wonder who beat you up and what hospital they are in now

-throw a big enough temper tantrum when you are normally the one calming everyone else down and deflating temper tantrums, and you get lots of free pina coladas

-chasing after the mimes and jesters with fairy dust leads to kids helping you out, but parents really should tell their children it is rude to trip people

-weddings make me cry

-tea time in the petting zoo is quite the experience

-that making nice with the artists and vendors has it's rewards and now I have a stunningly beautiful hand crafted and painted leather mask. I just LOVE it. I need to get pictures.

 

Anybody going this weekend? I'm thinking of going both days since it'll be the final weekend of it.

 

I want to go, but I have other plans. I hope everyone takes lots of pictures!!!

 

I plan on being there!


And as it is great King Hank's Birthday Extravaganza there better be cake!!!!!

 

i will be there with a bunch of barbians...and rogues.

I am camping friday, sat and sunday as well. w00t!

must find a single woman, preferebly in her 30s, high spirited, into ren faires and sci fi..............

 

Don't forget into physical activity.....remember when I called you after that date he and I had? Man dragged me all over Cottonwood (?) Canyon for a hike....I thought I was gonna die.

 

And we can't forget also that:


-he is an excellent kisser
-he is a great conniseur (sp?) of all sorts of tasty beverages and nice food
-he looks great in a kilt
-definately worth a blue ribbon or 10
-is a very concerned friend



:: there are days I truely regret that our schedules and personal familial obligations hadn't intruded but hey, life is life and you go on


EDIT: I forgot, he is usually the one behind the light sabre duals that happen after dark, after the patrons go home, all over the festival site=)

 

Oh, he has *great* taste in wine and food....remember the bottle of wine with the chocolate he got me at Christmas that one year? I don't even like to think what he must've spent on the wine alone....

And his hair....God, I did love playing with those long curls of his. It's nice that he still lets me do it sometimes.

I volunteer!! I'll need driving directions, and my Ren costume isn't exactly period accurate to... well, ANY period, but it's still a ren costume.

 

OK

Take I-17 north to exit 340A
Merge onto 1-40 East towards Winslow/Albuquerque
Take Exit 159BC to get onto I-25 and go North

keep going past Colorado Springs

Take the Larkspur, CO exit

then follow the signs!

=)


And believe me, costumes don't have to be period

 

Okay, Larkspur - GOT IT!

Oh, and since I'm coming from SLC, Utard, it's gonna go like this:

Take I-15 south to Highway 89, to Highway 6, and south to I-70.
Follow I-70 east in to Denver.
Exit to I-25 south towards Larkspur.

this is the first weekend it isn't supposed to be hot as heck!

 

Which will improve my chances of deciding to get my butt down there.

Now that I don't *have* to be there, I'm remarkably blase about being there.

 

I'm probably going down for the day Saturday as a 'spectator'
