I know a bunch of you freaks like this Renfair thing...which I've never been too. But I was wondering if Chicago Force would want to pick an official day for us to all trek up there this summer. I'd only want to go if my CF friends were going. Any thoughts?
Well, I'm all for it... especially since none of us are working the Faire this season 'cause the management sucks. (*waiting for a response from Froste*)
Waiting for what...I agree. I am gonna visit, I might even get a guest pass if I can, but between moving to MI, probably not getting a pay offer AND my cooler than hell director leaving the scene it is just not doable. I am up for visiting...but beware of the crazy tumbler running off to play with others
I know my dad will be up for it, but only if we dress in costume, and only if he gets to be a Renfair nerd....*mumbles underbreath* Why not?
Well, I'm game, someone look at the CF Schedule and pick a convenient day that gives us plenty of time to get tix, promote it, and doesn't conflict with a current event.
I used to go when it was called "King Richard's Faire"...and it is a blast.... .....and my schedule in the summer is usually a LOT lighter
why don't we just do something easier? there's this AWESOME place I've heard about called Medieval Times. apparently, they serve you dinner and it's just like the MIDDLE AGES!!! there's horses and knights and even a wizard or two! (who wants to bet one of those wizards gets into a bit too much mischief??? heehee...) anyway, it sounds TOTALLY awesome!!!! we have to go!!!! (i am not a sock.)
Medieval Times is okay, but it's no Faire... it's really just dinner theatre. I love the Faire because it's more interactive, with the street characters and all... Plus, it's cheaper (or at least similar in price, once you take food and drink into account) and lasts the whole day instead of just a few hours....
Been there, torture chamber is unbelievable. Why not go there in the winter since it's all indoors and go to the Faire during a warmer (hopefully) month?
In re-reading DA's posts, I find that they are strong with the sarcastic side of the Force... or is he really just that enthusiastic?
It's a little from column A, a little from column B. I'll spare us all any more sarcasm and merely give RenFair the finger. -Le Penguin "Halloween for hippies, bah."
