So CO RENFEST THREAD!!!

I know this is going to be a Fun, Fun day for all. The question becomes what day do we want to go to the RenFest?? This is the thread to discuss when and what we want to go as. Lets hear it......Ready Go.

Alrightie, well it looks like the garrison is going to the Renfest the weekend of June 24-26th. Also looking like most people are just wearing Ren garb -- hiking through the mountains isn't fun in armor -- plastic or metal. LOL.

House Veska's usually there on multiple weekends, but in barbarian gear.

Rachel and I are up for going on whatever weekends we don't have something planned...so as of right now just about any weekend works for us.

But if anyone wants costumes -- you better start on the NOW -- the Renfest opens in TWO weekends.

Ewww...they are going on "Love and Romance" weekend. I'd rather miss that one. Don't get me wrong - I like romance (I love my Sith) - but it doesn't sound romantic to be there with thousands of other romantics on a hot day...blech...

Anyway...looking at the themes...I vote for either:

June 18/19 - Royal Ale Festival
or
July 23/24 - Scottish & Irish Festival

The Scottish weekend!!

So the topic of Scotland came up at dinner today. My mom was saying how she'd like to go to Ireland someday and I chimed in and said I wanted to go to Scotland.

Here's the conversation:

Dad: Yeah, I'm sure you do want to go to Scotland.
JGOC: What does that mean?
Dad: Hey, I didn't say anything.... but I was thinkin it.
Brother: Huh?
JGOC: Mmm... kilts.
Brother: Oh.
Dad: I can see you now, *badly done scottish accent* I be getting my kilt tailored by this lass, but I don't know why she be needing to keep measuring my inseam!
JGOC: *blushes*
Mom: LOL
Brother: sits silently looking at us.
Dad: Totally went over your head huh?
Brother: *blushes*
JGOC: You know, you suck at that accent.

we will have at least one cell phone on us....not sure what time we are planning on leaving yet tho.

The Bear at the front is good for men. I want to get there before Noon so I have a better chance of seeing/eating all the things I want. Just a thought, let me know.
