Reporters = Bad

Oh man - I was totally misquoted in the article posted on th Journal today. You can see it here.

"Gomoll, who says "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" is "blasphemy," will see a midnight show of "Episode II" at the Ridge Cinema opening day and then see it again Saturday at the UltraScreen."

I never said that. I don't believe that. It makes no sense. I have NO idea how he got that.

 

Whew...thank goodness I'm just a photographer.

 

Can't you sue for crap like that? Or at least demand a retraction?

If you ask, they'll put in a "Correction" in the next issue... but it's not like anyone reads those anyway...

Yet another case of the media twisting words to make us believe that TPM was a failure...

Yeah - I had originally named this thread "The curse of Jeff".

At least it didn't mention you play with your blasphemous Jar Jar in the dark, alone at night.

I just got a call from the reporter who did the story. Apparently when I said TPM was a "blast for me" he thought I said "blasphemy". He was very aplologetic and it seems as if it was an honest mistake.

Though he said I could talk to his editor, I opted not to. It was an honest mistake and I accept it as such.

 

That's even funnier!

 

LMAO! What a bad/funny mistake.

 

*ROTFL* And it's not just the people who read the paper who heard it, either. WMYX also discussed the article on air this morning and used his quote, too. Too funny!
