Republic Commando continuations...

I just finished Hard Contact and I'm impressed. That book was a great read and definetely goes in my favorites. However, I was a bit dissapointed at the end, I was hoping there would be another chapter for the aftermath or maybe a 3-5 page Epilouge for it. Anyway, I realized how good something Commando would be for a few spinoffs, like a possible comic series or short stories. Of course, if I had it my way, any future stories would be novels hehe. As I expressed above, is there anything else Commando out there besides Hard Contact, the game itself, and the short story in the latest SW Insider? Is there any talks for a comic series, series of new books, or another game?

 

I havent heard of any talk of an ongoing series, comics or novel, although I agree that it would be great. I think that they would really sell well and would gain cult status kind of like Allston's books have. If there are any plans for Commando books than Im sure that theyre on hold for the foreseeable future, if only because Karen Traviss will be writing 3 more SW books for the new 9-book series scheduled to debut next year.

 

There was a comic in Tales 22. A squad of Commandos have to escort a Senator's starship, and they're attacked.

 

Is it the same squad from Hard Contact ?

 

No. I don't recall if the squad is ever named.

Yes, I'm particulary hoping we will see Darman, Fi, Niner, and Atin again. I love those guys lol.

I want to see spomething where Atin bashes some heads. The scarred one is the best out of the four in my opinon. And by bash heads, I literally mean have him go up to some poor soul and bash their heads.

Clone Wars Adventures # 3 features a commando story by yours truly.

And CWA # 4 will feature commandos again.
