    Just finished RC (the game).

So, what missions have the deltas already completed by the start of this?

    None of this bickering!

Now in the underbelly of Coruscant, I wonder what sort of mutants and like will the RCs run into? There is some very nasty stuff down there, from what I've heard, that may give even a Wookiee or Jedi some pause.

    Sorry, M_C.
Pelranius, I read somwhere about these devolved humans that got lost in the underbelly of Coruscant. Maybe our boys will run into them there.

    Fried mutants.

Hey, wait! D'you suppose Ryan will wrangle Karen into inserting some sort of zombie reference?[face_thinking]

I can see it all now....

    Coruscant underworld mutant: "Braaaaaaaaains!"

    Sev: "Okay"

*blows the little critter's gray matter all over the sewer*

Kay, well, I finally joined the crowd. So I'm stoked about the book, and I'm probably going to reread RCHC about four times between now and then.

Reading just through the first thirty pages of this was enough to tire me out. Anyone care to summarize what I've missed since then, or must I dig through all of it? Because I will, I just don't want to. *sigh* I must now get back to doing calculations, but I will return.

    - Keralys: Jedi Fanboy and Fandalorian. Take that, naysayers!

Don't worry, most of this thread has been about non-Triple Zero things... some of which were quite amusing, but off-topic nonetheless. :) I was making a list of all the off-topic things that have been discussed, but it's not done yet.

And also don't worry about posting stuff that's already been discussed - we need something to keep this thread alive until February. ;) It's bad enough that major lurkers like me have come out... lol. :D

Has it ever been explained why RC helmet visors glow?

Ehh... cause it looks cool? And it's a game mechanic?

I hope that Karen addresses some of those issues in RC:TZ, as she started to in RC:HC. Like the whole, "Why are we wearing bright white plasteel armor in a forest?" line that Darman thinks at one point. Same thing would apply on Coruscant, in some ways, I'd think, as RC's are definitely going to stand out in a crowd, as are ARC's. Which reminds me - did she ever spill much info on the Null ARC's?

Maybe it's for intimidation? Especially for someone who doesn't know about the commandos, like Etain's initial reaction to Darman, thinking he was Hokan.

Picture the unfortunate target of an RC assssination mission. "Oh, crap, I'm alone with four Mandalorians in the dark..." No matter how good you are, that'll scare ya.

Same way the stark white of a wall of clone troopers is supposed to unnerve the enemy. "They're so good they don't need camo, and they're squeaky clean, too..."

I dunno... maybe I'm reaching here... it could be for really dark places, since their low-light visor function seems to be "regular" night vision, as opposed to thermal. And even NVGs are useless in complete black; they need light to magnify. Maybe the glow provides sufficient illumination for their visors to do that.

That would be an interesting scene, especially if the RCs could turn the glow on and off at will. Now that would scare the crap out of you.

if they can turn it on and off, i can see some fun scenes with some victim wondering how "one" RC can somehow keep moving around him in a big room... when it's actually a squad turning on and off their lights to unnerve him.
