How fast did the republic have those star destroyers at the end of aotc? How is that explained?? Where did those ships come from if the reublic had no organized army?

In the EU they were build by KUAT Drive Yards (the same guys who would later build the Star Destroyer) and they were ordered alongside the clones 10 years prior to AOTC.

I always assumed that they came as a package deal with the clones; either the Kaminoans or Sifo-Dyas ordered them 10 years prior.

Darth Maul's ship is a courior<sp> ship. It was never Sith in design.

The ships at the end of AOTC were indeed ordered along with the clones 10 years prior to the movie.

The ship was designed by the same spaceship designer who would later design the TIE series of space fighters. His (or her) name was Raith Seinar, who later, began Seinar Fleet Systems which worked closely with the Imperial government.

When Sifo-Dyas placed the order for the clone army, he also commisioned Rothana Heavy Engineering (a subsidiary of Kuat Drive Yards) to produce a whole line of military starships and vehicles as well. All the vehicles and vessels should be on Kamino with the clones, although you don't see them in the movie.

Actually, I think the Kaminoans contracted with RHE, not than Sifo-Dyas.

Hmmm, maybe. I think it states this in the AOTC Incredible Cross Sections, but I'm too lazy right now to go look it up.
