It seems I Darth Invictus and a few others are the last legends holdouts, the star wars I knew and loved has passed away and those getting into the franchise now will never understand how wonderful Star Wars was in the years 1977-2014. I am perennially depressed seeing it fade way like dust in the wind.

In any case my enthusiasm for the future of this beautiful and remarkable franchise has been utterly smashed. It seems I can only consider myself a fan of Star War Past not Present or future.

But I guess all good things must perish though.

This is the thread you're looking for.

*went to Kindle and orders Shatterpoint today*

    Yes, Legends is dead.

*sends friend copy of the Thrawn Trilogy*

But yes, DI, quite a few of us like the NuCanon.

I would not say Legends is dead. I prefer it far more than the new eu but I like to think of it as being a choice between the SW I love and another SW that is just as valid even if it does not have as much meaning or quality as the one I am used to. I still read the old books. I still complain when a character is changed for the worse. Legends is not dead nor will it ever be. You don't have to except the new eu or anything though.
