Last night I watched the Academy-Award Winning Suicide Squad. Extended Cut improves it.

 

Yet another movie that got treated as if it were a bastardization of cinema. Granted it wasn't amazing (I liked the characters more than I liked the actual story), but it wasn't bad.

 

I liked Enchantress for the first half an hour or so. It was like she had been looking for the swamp horror movie set but took the wrong turn and ended up with Suicide Squad. And then they changed her look. So sad.

 

Agreed. I have a couple problems with it

- One too many characters in the Squad
- Pop songs were obnoxiously-used at times
- Enchantress should not have been the villain, too powerful/magical
- Not a fan of the dossier-style intros

But I loved
- The character-building
- The universe-building
- The score
- Justice League cameos
- Seeing the Joker
- Will Smith
- New version of Harley Quinn
- Waller knowing about Bruce
- Team extracting Waller
- Diablo vs Incubus

 

I could do without Leto's Joker. Something about his portrayal was...off. I guess the good thing is that the Joker is always reinventing himself, so if they wanted Leto to look different or play it differently in the next SS or Batman movie, they could always do that.

 

Looks good, but I'm still irritated Thor 3 got pushed back for yet another Spider-Man movie.

 

SQ was legit! But imo wasn't great! Great characters though!

 

I liked her design, I just think she would have been a better villain for the Dark Universe movie than Suicide Squad.

In the comics she has beaten the Justice League so it seemed a little ridiculous she could lose to the Squad as her movie version is pretty close in power to her comic version.

 

I wouldn't lol. I'm not a huge SM fan. The only movie of his I'd rewatch is Civil War, and that's an Avengers movie lol.

The only reason I'm really excited for this is because of Holland and Iron Man.

And Black Panther was pushed back for this as well

 

I'm quite excited for Spider-Man. And really excited to see the Vulture in this movie too. I wonder though when we'll get a trailer for Thor 3.

It's not even April and I have already gotten sick this year twice.

First it was the flu, now it's a strange virus in which I have a fever and literally feel like a walking zombie.

So, yeah, I'm a huge Stephen King fan. Amazing writer (despite what the literary snobs may say). I actually re-read It for the fourth or fifth time (so many enjoyable layers--much more than just a scary book about a shape shifting clown) recently in anticipation for this:
