To me she already is. I really like how LucasFilm has pretty much set a writer as their go-to for a specific time period.

For the Old Republic, it's Drew Karphshyn.

For the prequels, it's James Luceno.

For the originals, it's Timothy Zahn

For the sequels, it's Claudia Gray

It allows for each era to have a distinctive feel and writing style, which makes it feel a lot more like the movies as they have that too.

I was looking at that picture and was thinking, "Either that is a very tiny book or a huge CD!" It did not even cross my mind it was a vinyl!

As well as being a bit jealous that mine did not come with a nice cardboard sleeve!

 

Took me a minute too Moll; at first I thought it had something to do with the zooming in on it.

Also, Moll; check your sig! You've got ROTS twice instead of one ROTS & one ROTJ.

Unless..................you just REALLY love ROTS you must have it in your #1 & #2 spots.

I have just finished The Clone Wars as well! It was a very enjoyable journey, now time for Rebels!

Welcome Moll. Congrats on finishing TCW! I'm stalled somewhere in S2 , hoping to start again when I have more time in a few weeks.

I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on Rebels, what you make of the Ghost crew! I've only seen S3, must go back & watch S1 & 2.

I can understand why you would get stuck around then, it is a lot of episodes, sometimes you just want to watch something else (or if you are me, can't be bothers to put the DVD into the player, I know, first world problems )

I have actually watched series 1, it was last year, I am going to start at the beginning again though, I do remember enjoying it a lot. Although, @darkspine kept telling me how much better The Clone Wars is and that I should watch that instead

Here is a pic of a my rather motley SW collection. Some DVDs are missing as I gave them to my little brother. I still need S5-6 of TCW.

TCW does have a different feel to it. Seems more mature despite being a kids show; I'd certainly say that it being on Cartoon Network originally had something to do w/that, that channel seems to push the envelope w/their shows more than Disney will. I still enjoy Rebels though. And it's probably due to the main characters too: the focus is on young teens mainly for Rebels, Ezra & Sabine, while in TCW even though there's Ahsoka, adults Obi Wan & Anakin are also the main characters.

As I'm here musing, it might also have to do w/the nature of the conflict. I know they've got the death star & all, but imo, the Empire/Rebellion fight in Rebels is just less scary/troublesome/suspenseful than the fight against Separatists in TCW. Might just be me; I find it difficult not to associate the feelings I have by the end of AOTC & for all of ROTS of loss, sadness, grief, & the heavy toll the war takes on everyone, w/TCW. Seems like so much more happens in those 3 years between AOTC & ROTS than does in whatever amount of time Rebels takes place in.
