    Games are waaaay to expensive these days, I rarely buy games on release, unless they are something that I really like, like I did with Rise of the Tomb Raider and Origins, although, be careful, there are spoilers! Most other games, I just wait until either they are on offer or cheap in the used section of Game ;)

    Totally agree, Moll. I've made a few mistakes in this area, namely Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, which is nowhere near worth $60, with the overpriced DLC that Capcom piles on (similar to how they did with Street Fighter V). Seriously regret that purchase, even if the game is fun.

    Making two exceptions this month. COD WWII on Friday, and then Battlefront II on preorder (which I do very rarely). Waiting on FIFA 18 to drop a bit, and then the slew of good games that just came out - AC:eek:rigins, Shadow of War, South Park, Destiny 2, etc, etc. 60 bucks a pop is just ludicrous.

    It is never a good idea to attempt to “course correct” while also alienating your core audience. Look at what happened with the Star Trek movies. Look at what happened to Halo games. In both cases, the makers tried to gain more mass appeal by changing the very core of their franchises, and now the Star Trek movies are all but dead again and Halo is not even a shadow of its former self.

    Ever since the theatrical release of BvS, WB has been trying to make the movies feel so “fun” that they ended up turning out generic products. Wonder Woman is good, but Suicide Squad suffered greatly due to their knee jerk reaction and now JL isn’t even looking like a product of its director. WB claims to be a director driven studio, but with how they have handled both Ayer and Snyder now that claim seems to be false. Plus the reception of BvS is entirely on WB, considering Snyder’s cut is far better received even by those who hated BvS in the theater.

    Seriously, when is WB going to allow Snyder to release his far superior cut in theaters?

    Watchmen
    Sucker Punch
    BvS

    All his cuts are simply better.

    As far as I'm concerned, JL was directed by Whedon, not Zack. I won't be surprised if it battles SS for last on my DCEU list.

    Don't knock it til you try it. There's so much negativity out there already on garbage like io9 - the frenzy reddit whips itself into is based on zero people among them having seen the finished product.

    Gal explicitly stated that the movie was "Zack's." I don't think its possible (given the time constraints) for Zack to be whitewashed out of the film.

    I'll take her word for it.

    And I love Danny Elfman, so we break a bit there. Hans was great for the TDK trilogy and MoS - BvS soundtrack wasn't my favorite. Excited for the new stuff.
