Seriously I'm gone due to school for like 2 days and y'all discuss so much interesting stuff.

And that is why I love it here.

Love the directors talk; I really like Hitchcock, Capra, GL, Raimi, Carpenter (I saw your post in CCC Dandelo and you reminded me of the latter 2; I'm terrible at thinking up names for these lists on the spot so that reminded me, nice that you like those 2 as well )

Dagobahsystem I enjoyed Lifeboat too. And for any of y'all that like Hitchcock, two of slightly lesser known works that are still very good & worth a watch are Foreign Correspondent (1940), full of WWII-era wartime intrigue & suspense, a tad different from his later films, an excellent one IMO & one that makes you think. And The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956), which is a remake of his own film (made the first one in 1934), & is great w/suspense & revolves around a couple & their young son (the couple is Jimmy Stewart, of whom I am a HUGE fan , & Doris Day, who I'm also a fan of). She plays a more serious role than her other films in it.

I need to watch & rewatch more of his films. I recall liking Rear Window, but I remember quite disliking & being confused by Vertigo.

While I'm on the Jimmy Stewart bandwagon, anyone seen The Shop Around the Corner (1940)? Its a cute, funny, heartwarming christmas movie. It also stars the guy who plays the wizard in The Wizard of Oz in a funny role.

Pensivia, DanielUK y'all's posts of George Michael's songs made me so happy; I love his work. From his WHAM! days especially.

True story: I discovered the song I'm posting below when listening to the radio through headphones one day when I was in 5th or 6th grade, & loved it so much. But I thought it was a completely new song that had just came out. As soon as I told my mom I'd just listened to the coolest, funnest song & told her the name she was like, "Oh, I like them; that song came out years ago before your dad and I got married."



Ha, indeed Doris Day is mentioned in it too. Its all connected.

Also Pen I love that you posted Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye, as that was exactly what I was thinking reading your long NANANANANANA post El Jedi Colombiano. My favorite version is of course from Bananarama, I love them.

Repulsion is a great, intense movie from Polanski. Very trippy, not for the faint of heart. But a really good one with some amazing shots.

Think that's all for now. Need to clean up a bit & do something w/the Christmas stuff before its time for TFA at 4:00. CANNOT WAIT.

It is! Last year I stayed up to watch the red carpet for TFA. I remember being so excited to hear the music from the prequels there. I hope we get to hear it again this year.
