    OH great...

    just let my dog out and there was a cat in the garden (dunno who it belongs to) and she ran at it and barked at it. Poor thing shot over the fence. Not only that barking at 4:25 in the morning....animals have no sense of time about people sleeping do they? :p

    I have read the book. I absolutely love it. It's such an amazing, rich tale. The second half is phenomenal.

    Dags: nope, not read any of Tolkien stuff.

    At around the time when AOTC was released my bro in law put on his Fellowship DVD, I saw the first scene (or it was quite early) where Gandalf is riding on a cart. My thoughts "oh God this is gonna be The Dragon Slayer, Eragon type film isn't it?" you know the type...fantasy set in the Dark Ages of Europe.

    I had just seen AOTC, I wanted colourful planets...exotic looking aliens that kind of stuff :p

    I just had the impression "oh I've already seen this in some form or another" and from then on had no interest unfortunately :(
