I will say I do like Marvel a lot too. It's just I have been so starved of DC movies since MOS came out and now all these DC movies are coming in the next 5 years!

On a more depressing note, I just messed up a relationship by admitting my feelings towards that person. I didn't realize but slowly I'm being cut of of their life... This is why i stay emotionally distant

On an much more happier note

Just found another artist for our project and all we need is a programmer...

Because I sure as hell am not doing all this work on top of writing, music design, sfx and advertising...

I've got to say I think DC has more depth to it than Marvel does, at least from a psychology point of view. Marvel is basically "I got bitten by a radioactive spider...now I have superpowers"

"we are astronomers that went into space, got hit by a radioactive blast, now I have superpowers"

"I was a scientist and unfortunately was hit by a bomb that produced gamma radioactive waves and now I'm a green monster and have superpowers"

I seem to see a pattern here. ...

there are some exceptions like X-men (evolutionary mutants) and Thor (Marvel's answer to Superman I presume)

so I would say DC=depth Marvel= colour

 

Good at heart definitely and even though he paved the road to perdition with good intentions, he never gave himself the chance to be the loving father he wanted to be because he gave in to the self belief of not being good enough ..that 's what's sad about his turn for me.

As for DC or Marvel, I like a bit of both.

@Danelo you've got a point! Lol I like spidy and love xmen but my childhood was more DC than Marvel until the xmen carton and I concur with you, DC has more meat in their bones!

Also, hello everyone! I'm back from my holiday. Yesterday was probably my longest day of the year. We woke up at 7:15 Swiss time, and got home to England past 2am. We got delayed at the Channel Tunnel for ages!

I had a great time in Switzerland though, I love the mountains!

I read all of the Long Earth books (still think that the first one is the best), and also read the Silmarillion, and Children of Hurin. I'm also halfway through Unfinished Tales. I may have skipped the Narn i hin Hurin though, as I didn't want to read that story a 3rd time. I did the like the Sil,, though it felt a bit disconnected from the LOTR and the Hobbit. The Akkalabeth felt more relevant, and I love the Numenorean backstory and how it relates to Gondor.
