Also the clown thing was because I keep seeing things about "killer clown sightings" but idk if its true or an elaborate hoax.

 

I thought the sightings were real but the clowns themselves were pranks. I haven't really been paying attention. What I'd like is some fresh Bigfoot hysteria.

and yes there is a marketing campaign happening for the new movie, if you are talking about fliers with MISSING children on them.

 

I've been seeing the same thing, strange. Just the other day I saw friendly clowns come on the news to clear their name lol. I'm not joking either.

 

dunno why, but your post made me laugh AllyoftheForce poor people who choose a career as a clown...they never catch a break

and don't forget all the grading! i have a teacher friend and he assures me that is one of the absolutely worst parts of the job (well, along with a couple of other things, lol)

 

also, all this talk of scary/ominous clowns is freaking me out

 

Oh my goodness, teaching is way worse than being a student. Not only is the homework increased, but your students depend on it so the margin for error is less.

And may god have mercy on your soul if you have multiple mixed grades or even subjects.

My first year of teaching I made a critical error and assigned some tasks that my students enjoyed but took me days to grade. My second year, I assigned only presentations and short quizzes. And I refused to teach more than three grades. It saved me 20 hours a week.

Many years ago I taught English as a foreign language (and one class on web design) while living abroad.

Teaching wasn't for me.

(But if someone has a penchant for travel and is a native English speaker there are loads of opportunities to get paid to teach while traveling.)

 

I love this gif, Seps...hadn't seen it yet but I'm not surprised that the original vid makes a great source for gifs...if anyone never saw the original vid (a brief interview with that ADORABLE little boy on his first day of pre-K), it's worth a look...also, I'd like to post it in honor of our resident mom around here, AprilMayJune!
