Return of the Glove!!

    It's funny, but the whole indestructable glove idea probably came from a misunderstanding of the scene when Vader absorbs Han's Blaster shots in ESB.

    Yeah, and that right there kinda bothers me. If Vader can absorb energy through his mechanical arms like that...what's stopping him from projecting it, as in Force lightning? Makes that "unable to shoot lightning because of artificial arms" theory a little shaky.

    Because he is wearing metal armour, metal conducts electricity, lightning=electricity...

    The human body is also a good conductor of electricity, but you don't see Palpatine twitching and writhing in agony when he's shooting bolts from his fingertips. I seriously doubt the lightning actually travels through the body at all before being shot out.

    Vader cannot shoot force lightning because he has no actual arms to shoot it out of. He used the Force to stop those bolts.

    IIRC, he deflected them; he didn't absorb them.
