I was over downloading the ROTK trailer and saw that it's been announced that the Extended Editions will be coming to theaters in early December. The topper is that on December 16th, they'll be showing the two extended editions and then ROTK. Any idea if Maumee is going to be getting this?

I know that donna is to Showcase fairly often (right?) and might be able to dig up some inside info.

 

Isnt this great? They are supposed to release FOTR and TTT two weeks before, but I had not heard about the back to back showings like they are doing in Toronto!!

I'll been patiently waiting for a theater listing for this (which is supposed to be released). Maybe I will just call Maumee.

So what did you think of the trailer Tobey-Wan?

 

I thought it was awesome! I can't wait to watch it at home with the volume turned up!

FOTR is listed on movietickets.com as opening Dec. 5th, 2003 (MY BIRTHDAY!) but no theater listings yet *sigh*

Happy Day!! I'll be buying tickets this weekend. Anyone else interested?

 

Hmmm, I'll have to think about it a bit. Definitely sounds like event(s) for the squadron, though.

My bad, tickets are availabe on October 9th, not this weekend. That is what I get for reading the internet when I first wake up. I think this would be a great outing for the BSS.

What are your thoughts, do we want to see FOTR or TTT or all three ?? I'm still contemplating a line party for ROTK and I'll let you all know when I decide.

Now, about the trailer, which part got to you most? I got chills over the look that Smeagol gave to Sam as Frodo lead him away. And Sam's NOOOOOO at the end.

 

Gandalf and Aragon's little conversation kind of got things going for me.

Is Maumee offering the marathon? I'm thinking about that one, but not sure if my hind quarters could handle it.

I've read that some theaters are doing a package deal that includes all three movies and food. That would be good. Out in Hollywood I guess the movies will cost $100.

 

Hmmm, if Maumee does something similar, I'd defintely have to look into it. I'll just have to remember to bring a cushion to sit on...

Very true. I think alot of that would be about the experience. I'd probably have to go see it again to really appreciate it.

I'm now reading reports about theaters who dont know anything ABOUT re-release and wont have the tickets ready yet. This really ought to be interesting to see how this works. I should volunteer my services to Maumee to help organize this
