I doubt it; it takes time to get back into the groove.

Of course. Still, I expect he'll add another major or two to his resume.

I certainly wouldn't judge him if he went out quickly next week, though, because match play is always somewhat fluky, and Tiger's had some early exits there when healthy, IIRC. Though he's also done extremely well (won it again last year)

I would never watch a non-major golf tournament if Tiger wasn't in it, and I would never watch a non-major golf tournament if Tiger was in it.

    Thank you for your time.

My head says, he'll be a bit rusty. He hasn't played competitive golf in 8 months, so maybe he'll make it to Saturday, but that's as far as he can go.

My heart says, it's Tiger, he'll probably go out and win, while never once even trailing in a single match, not playing more then 30 holes on Sunday.

He's had some distractions...a new baby, for one.

I'm just glad to see Tiger back.

I thought I'd become a Golf fan in general, but the honest truth is I didn't watch a single tournament with Tiger out.

I'm really glad to see him back. I doubt he'll win anything really big this year, but I'm sure next year will be big for him.

I would never make the statement you just made.

If Tiger is on the course, he's got a chance to win. Period. No matter what the tournament is. And, as he's already proven, even if he only has one leg to stand on.

Good for golf to have him back, too. He's makes everything more interesting.

Yeah, true. But a 230+ day hiatus from competition is a long time.

I'd probably count the time off as hurting his game less than playing through the injury like he was just before the break. And we all saw how he did then...

But beyond that, you're counting him out for the whole year, which is really extreme.

EDIT: that said, he did fall today

I think he'll be competitive for sure, but to win is very hard, even for a master like him. But I guess we'll see!
