Revenge of the Salt Lake Lounge

I think it's time we had something like this again.

For those of you who remember or are relatively new and can't help but not remember, this was once a little corner of the boards where we could chat. "Pull up a Luv Sac get comfy. Here you can discuss whatever you'd like. Whether it be Star Wars related or not. Kick back have fun, do whatever. Just keep it clean."

*Walks into the dusty old room only to have a cob web cover his face. Wipes off the inch of dust that had settled on the luv sacs and glances at the the kareoke machine, pin ball games, big screen tv, and the juke box and considers pawning them before anyone else shows up. Walks across the dance floor to the bar only to find that someone drank all the Mt. Dew that was on tap long ago and that a bum has taken up residence behind the bar. Hops into a luv sac and turns on the big screen tv to flip through some channels until anyone else decides to post in here because he has no life and can't sleep.*

*Is still thirsty* Whoever posts next should bring some drinks cuz that bum behind the bar won't share whatever he has hidden in that paper bag.

 

Sorry about that buddy... I sucked that tap dry a loooooooooong time ago. I'm off of th stuff now though, clean and sober, so make mine a cranberry juice.

*kicks jukebox*

Y'know, if this is going to be a clothing optional lounge you should really put up a sign

 

yeah, sorry. I just felt like sitting in a bean bag chair naked eating Cheetos.

Should we ask the bum behind the bar if he wants any snacks? He could be like our lounge mascot

What shall we name our bum mascot?

 

Scruffy?

 

I was thinking something like Lou.

*pokes the bum with a stick*

You sure he's alive? This may be the reason why it smells in here....

 

Did someone forget to feed Lou? Sheesh. maybe we should have put in a doggy door... or a hobo door

 

or left out a bowl of food and water or something.

Sheesh... we are terrible hobo owners.

*throws blanket over Lou*

Anyway... seen any good movies lately Andy?

 

I missed the lounge.

At least the Karaoke machine still works.

 

Actually, I have seen a couple good movies lately. I saw Night at the Museum and Charlotte's Web. Anyone else seen any new movies?

Edit- Oh, and by the way Erin, that is totally awesome that you actually found a picture of a hobo mascot. That made me laugh really hard

 

I want to see Night at the Museum. The last movie I was able to see was the Prestige, which is freakin awesome.

 

Night at teh Museum is AWSOME! Sierra and I went to see it on Saturday.

I *LOVED* Night at the Museum. I saw it opening night and have been itching to go back ever since. Definatly buying that one.
I haven't seen Charlotte's Web yet though... still trying to talk Nic into seeing it with me.

 

*goes over to the bar and refills one tap with lemonade and another with diet coke*

Diet Coke will lure Riley into the Lounge more often. Give it time, before long he'll sense the presence of diet coke and come seeking it out. He is powerless against it.

Dude! Check it out, we have a dead bum behind the bar. He's our mascot and his name is Lou.

 

I took a bit out of him because I thought he was beef jerky.

 

Dead bums and beef jerky, yeah I'm seeing the resemblance.

 

Riley, please don't eat the Lou... he isn't clean. You might catch something.

I saw Charlotte's Web last night! w00t! Cute lil movie... great animal animation... fun stuff!

 

I'm usually not a big fan of movies where they have live animals talk but that movie was good. It made my five year old niece cry. It was the first time a movie ever made her cry.

 

I don't like talking animals....unless there is barbeque sauce involved....mmmm...Wilber....

 

Just the four of us? Isn't anyone else gonna join the party in the lounge? I think I made too much bean dip so I hope someone else decided to post here too. Wouldn't want all the snacks to go to waste.

I think I'll go watch Kung Pow: Enter the Fist on the big screen for a while.
