FF:NSW 'Revenge Of The Site' - ffnsw.net is back!

With two months to go till Star Wars: Episode III premieres in cinemas across the world (to the date!), we present to you the all new, revamped ffnsw.net!

For those of you who are unaware of the history of our website, it originally began as a Tripod freebie site where we could post pictures from meets and summaries of our get-togethers. It grew bigger and bigger, and eventually had to be moved to a reliable server, where it was hosted by Kehleyr on her own webspace. There is became a monster over the course of nearly two years, amounting to approximately 200 static HTML pages with 50MB of information. It had become a burden, and it was clear to me that we needed to move to a dynamic format that allowed simple updates with ease.

The original plan was to rebuild the entire site in PHP. After several months of starts and stops, I opted to just have website software installed and then we'd tweak it to our liking. This, of course, could not have been made possible without the hard work, dedication, and technical know-how of Keith_Katarn. Thanks to him, we've been able to move most of the information that was on the old site onto this new one.

So without further ado I'd like to present to you all our website - ffnsw.net. She may not look like much right now, but she's got it where it counts.

And I just noticed that the 'previous meet' info stops sometime in 2003.

 

Thats around when the site went down. U volunterring to go figure out all the meets between then and now, and who was at them?

Actually, the site had updates until somtime in 2004, I know that because my bio didn't get added until mid-may 04.

And seeing as both of youw ere so quick to volunteer me, I volunteer the both of you to fix it.

Okay, as far as the bios go, if you want them to be updated, go to the site and click "Subit News" from the navigation menu then fill out the details as you would like to see them and submit it. Paul or myself will go through and change the bio for you.

Also, if you have any exciting news that you want posted on the site, you can fill out the same form and submit it. It will be authorised by one of the admins and posted if it's news worthy.
