Just saw on BBFC website that Episode III has been rated 12A for "moderate fantasy violence and scary scenes".

    Link to BBFC's page

    Looking good :)

Best news in ages! Can't wait now!

Now if only we can get them to re-rate AOTC and include the headbutt when they do the inevitable Saga Box Set. ROTS will mean the set already gets a 12A so it shouldn't be a problem.

I always get the Region 1 DVDs, so I don't know of this cut headbutt of which you speak :)

And it's up to Fox to re-submit AOTC to the BBFC. It won't be reclassified by itself.

It's only the brief second where Jango headbutt's Obi-Wan. Not much but it's just wrong to see Obi-Wan flying backwards for no reason.

Since they always get altered for re-release I'm guessing they'll have to be re-submitted. Right? Does anyone know if the DVD versions of the OT had to get re-classified?

If they don't add it back in for the inevitable Saga box set then I'm just gonna buy the US set instead.

You could always buy the Australian release of AOTC, that is what I did. It is Region 2/4 so will work in the UK even if your player isnt multi-region and it is PAL format so there wont be any picture problems.

Yes, the DVD editions did have to be reclassified. This BBFC page is for the DVD submittion of Episode V, at the bottom of the page are the other versions of the movie (orignal release and SE) that were classified separately.

It's all up to Fox to decide if they want to put the effort into restoring 1 second of footage.
