SWRPF Archive Revolt: Year 213

The year is 213 AY. The New Republic is now a corrupt government, rivaling the Empire in it's cruelty. But it is Humans who are now taking the brunt of the abuse from this Bothan-overrun political body.

Three years ago, small resistance group was formed on Tatooine, now a lush garden world. It has now become a good-sized rebel group, members pouring in every day.

Background: Rinn was an orphan, he grew up walking the streets until the age of 17. It was then that the military took him and trained him...to be a weapon, to kill. It was on a mission that he met Sai-Ten Nonen , and fell secretly in love. He left the Military and joined the Rebels to be closer to her.

The Jedi Order does not exist. A second scourge, carried out by Borsk Fey'lya's successor, Karka Fey'ja, wiped them out.

Background: Praj was raised in a normal life on Mon Calamari. While he was young, he found he had an aptitude for flying spaceships, and that his watery upbringing allowed him to think in three dimensions better than most other species. As soon as he was eligible, he joined the Republican Navy as a fighter pilot. He based basic training with flying colors, and was assigned to an A-wing squadron. Although he sees the problems in the New Republic, he feels that internal change is the way to correct it, and that the Rebels are lawless criminals who will pull down a two century-old civilization if they aren't stopped.

Personality: Lightpaw dislikes humans, as he sees them as responsible for most of the atrocities committed in the last few hundred years. He is loyal to his friends, and does share the Bothan love of politics and backstabbing. He is devoutly loyal to the New Republic, and believes that it will bring about a great age of equality, after the humans have gotten used to no longer being the masters of the galaxy. He has a wife and children back on Nalroni Prime, who he loves dearly. Professionally, however, he is wily and dangerous: he has been known to smell Rebel plots out weeks or months before they were to be executed. He is ruthless in his pursuit of order, and willing to go to any lengths to secure the New Republics place in the galaxy and crush the Rebels.
Limitations: He is unwilling to play the politics of the Bothans, and while his supreme competence in the area of Intelligence has kept him afloat, this could hurt him someday.

Background:
Lightpaw grew up on Nalroni Prime, and got married at a young age, while attending a prestigious university; however, he wanted a better life for his young wife, so he joined up with New Republic Intelligence(who had been recruiting out of universities at the time). He participated in numerous investigations resulting in the curtailing of Rebel and Criminal operations, and quickly rose through the ranks. During one of many raids, however, he was severely wounded by a Rebel soldier, resulting in scarring along both of his arms.

He bounced back from this, and continued on his path through New Republic Intelligence. After many more successes, he was made Department head of the main anti-Terrorism(anti-Rebel) branch of the NRI. He was given a Bothan Assault Cruiser to stage his operations out of, and a general allowance to use whatever forces he deemed neccessary to find and exterminate the Rebel threat. He plans on bringing the Rebels to justice if at all possible, and would prefer capturing them to killing them.

He believes that a great age of equality will spring from this period of chaos, as soon as the humans grow used to no longer being in power. He wants to bring about the elimination of class boundaries between humans and aliens; he keeps this secret, as he knows the Bothans would not like this. He has plans of his own for the New Republic, different from those of both the Rebels and the Bothans, who he sees as engaged in just another petty squabble over who gets to control the galaxy for the next hundred years.

IC: Sai-Ten sat in the single cafe in the base that served as a recreational area. She sipped at her whiskey, looking around the room.

Young soldiers and pilots sat drinking and laughing loudly, seemingly carefree. But some of them had the weary look of a veteran revolutionist.

This number was alarmingly small, however. In recent months, the Republic had been clamping down on their activities, and they were losing men. Most of their current members were recent recruits; young men of 18 wanting to make a mark for themselves.

She looked out of the large window at the front of the cafe. A century and a half ago, Tatooine had been a sandy wasteland.

Now, due to the work of numerous ambitious moisture farmers, the planet was covered in lush vegetation.

Tracing a finger around the table top, she took another sip of the beverage and closed her eyes.

"I'll have a Corellian Ale." she took her drink and turned around, leaning against the bar.
The men, or boys, in there was about 18, too young for her blood. She glanced around the room. There was only one empty chair and it's pair was being sat in. She walked over to the woman and glanced at her name plate.
"Captain Nonen. Mind if I sit here?"
