    Igarashi also mentioned certain ideas he'd had for a Wii installment. "My opinions haven't changed since E3 where I said that using the controller as a whip throughout the entire game probably wouldn't work. So basically with the Castlevania design, I always wanted to have players to sit and focus on gameplay for an hour or so. With the Wii system it doesn't work. With the controller, whipping for one hour wouldn't work.

    "So I think I gave the media a comment that said if I'm to work on Wii Castlevania than I'd use the motion sensitivity for a special attack rather than an usual thing. So that might work on Wii."


    EDIT- going by that "wire" link, I see I'm not the first to come up with the "Wii-Minus" pun :oops: ;)

    I'll probably hold off on getting a Wii until Super Smash Bros is out, but a couple of my friends will be getting one on launch day. I really can't wait to get some hands-on experience with the controller and see if it's as great as it's been claimed to be. Does anyone know if Wii sports will have online gameplay?

    Was watching the multiplayer Red Steel footage up over on IGN- apparently there's some kind of mode that has three players go after the fourth- and the wiimote speaker is used to announce "you are the target". heh heh.

    Hi, what games exactly should I expect on Wii, because I was decived a lot by the poor quantity of serious (non kid) games on game cube, I mean even Zelda was childish...

    I don't think Zelda was childish...it was just cartoon the rest was just regular Zelda. But if you want dark, adult Zelda....TP is for you. Red Steel is also a game aimed at the "hardcore" gamer.

    I'd suggest FarCry: Vengance. It's basically a port with tweaked controls.

    Splinter Cell and MK Armageddon will be out for the Wii and, though not a launch title, there's Porject HAMMER and Disaster: Day of Crisis to look forward to, as well as Metroid Prime 3.

    Well, there is the irony that Wind Waker, despite being supposedly so childish, has probably the most violent action in the entire Zelda saga.

    Is anyone else worried that there was no footage of swordplay in that multiplayer demo?

    And has anyone else commented that Far Cry looks appalling, graphically?
