Very simply in my opinion... One minute she is getting potshots from scrap collector gangsters on Jakku, the next she's displaying jedi powers far beyond her "training". Luke was struggling to move a noddle in the book heir to thee jedi and that's after some training with obi wan himself. Now some people will try to tell me rey is more powerful than luke.
