Volunteers need to speak up so we can get a final count. This will determine where we get stationed.

Alright, I talked my wife into this since she wants to start riding with me this summer. Put us both down for Team NorthRidge.

 

Any bike will do. But you just might want to make sure it's working right, ex. Brakes.

Ah, I thought perhaps we were going to have a team of some sort. So I should sign Kathy and I up separately and we will just see you there?

 

You can sign up separately and then join a group after that

 

This will be my first ride of this nature. Do I need to sign up somewhere or would I be put on the north ridge team roster? Let me know what needs to be done so I don't miss out please.

Volunteers - I am in contact with the Roswell Team and they are requesting a somewhat firm number of people who want to volunteer. If you want to volunteer please get with me ASAP so I can firm up a volunteer list. If you want to volunteer for more than just the rest area/ride portion, see this link for info:

A lot of the volunteer positions have yet to be posted (I just checked my 'calendar' on the site). I'm already signed up for 'Load In" as I did that last year, so I'm already booked both Thursday (9-4) and Friday (6-10) which means I will be working the opening ceremony.

Everyone - if you are riding or volunteering, you are invited to the opening ceremony for free. This is a great 'night out' for friends. Last year was a concert with Leann Rimes.

Since Dave (lgtsbr) won't be in town for this now (due to work relocation), we need to clarify what we're doing.

I know there was a lot of interest in folks who want to ride, but few people volunteered to man a station, so I'm going to assume we won't be able to do that. Is there anybody else who wants to volunteer singly along the route, maybe, so we can be near each other?

 

I don't think I will be available for this.

 

I wanted to do the ride this year but have decided to back out. Too much going on. I thought about volunteering, though. Any idea of who we have that wants to volunteer?

So far, Marty and I were the only ones. Since we can't be together at a 'North Ridge' station, we would have to register individually. I have never participated in the event, so I really don't know the details well.

 

I have been registered to do the 30 mile river ride. donations have been slow but have been picking up lately with crunch time coming. we can still form together as a group to man a water/rest station... or if anyone is riding let me know and if doing the same milage ride we can do that together since I don't plan on breaking any records...just a nice long ride im sure with lots of deep thoughts and reliving memories of friends and family.

According to Dave, we would need a big group to man a station, so I think that's unlikely to happen.
