IC: Paul Phoenix

"Hey, what the hell?" A look of confusion crossed the stern face of Paul Phoenix as the watch that he had been given by Mentor, now strapped onto his wrist, began to glow with a pink hue. Thoughts were racing through his mind as to what could have been happening. Then he remembered that it was probably some trick that Mentor had up his sleeve, and Paul relaxed a bit. That all changed when he entered the tunnel.

"Whooooooaaaa!" Paul cried as he tumbled throughout the time tunnel, his body engulfed in a glowing pink pathway. His red outfit didn't look too fancy against the pink color, but he assumed it would end soon. Still, an urge to vomit had grown within him.

As the tunnel disappeared, Paul fell hard onto his stomach. He groped around, temporarily blinded by the brightness of the tunnel, and felt the itchy touch of grass. Bah, now he'd be itching all over for a while.

As soon as he got up to his feet, Paul let it all out. The crude taste of his leftover breakfast of pizza that had once resided in his stomach reached his mouth, and just as soon exited. So much for that meal.

Searching around and finally discovering a puddle of water just a few yards ahead, Paul rushed over to it and gulped it down, ridding himself of the disgusting taste on his tongue. "Bah, gah, ugh!" After he had dried the entire puddle, Paul wiped his hands on his garbs and looked at the rest of the crew, who didn't seem to take much notice of his quirk.

In the distance, a blue... hedgehog approached the group, and Paul remembered seeing him in the Computer Room a few minutes ago. He guessed it was a few minutes ago.

"First off, whos who?" Might be useful ta know the names of the people we're workin' with after all. I'm Sonic, the blue streak that you can't quite see."

They can talk? Paul was aghast. "Allow me Sonic. Name's Phoenix, Paul Phoenix. Martial Arts and Judo artist, King of Iron Fist Tournament 3 champion, though others may disagree, bear despiser, particularly fighting ones, Arizona stud, and soon to be the toughest fighter in the universe." Paul rolled his head around after the introduction until he received a satisfying pop as his seemingly impenetrable blond hair continued to stand straight up.

IC: as Mega Man and Rush

Travelling through the pink, Rush had turned into the skateboard-like hover-jet. Mega Man rode him all the way to the end. While the other heroes slammed into the ground, Mega Man had no trouble. He hopped off the Rush Jet and landed on his feet. Rush transformed back into the four-legged dog robot.

They watched the human puke and run over to a small puddle of water. Then the hedgehog took off in a blue streak and, seconds later, he arrived back at there location. Then they all started with introductions.

"Well, I'm Mega Man, also known as the Blue Bomber. I'm the hero of Monstropolis, protecting the citizens from Dr. Wily and his evil Robot Masters." He reached down to pat the dog on the head. "And this is Rush, my transforming sidekick."

Rush barked and wagged his tail, wanting more attention.

IC: Sonic/ Forest, Clifside Pass/ Albion/ Fable

Sonic stood, tapping his foot, and listened to the names of everyone there, as well as where they were from. He glanced over at the pool of Paul's vomit, and nearly lost it himself. He looked Paul over, "Ooookkkaayyy... I dont know nothin' about any of that..." He shook his head, trying to clear it of extraneous thoughts. He knew they needed to focus, although that wasn't his strongest suit at all.

"Mind if I call you Phoenix, and you Megs? Be easier." He had no clue what to do with the dog.

Well, first things first I guess, why're we here? He decided to see if either of the others knew. "Either of you have a clue what we're supposed to do here? I know there's these guys blocking the road over thataway," he pointed over the bluff behind him, "but not knowing what we need to do kinda hampers our options a bit. Did that mentor guy say somethin' before I got there?" He hoped one of the others had a clue, because a leader he was not.

Vincent, Razputin, Big, Blinx

Albion, Clifftop Path

The four heroes stepped from the pink void and looked to the others, safely assuming that they were all present. Vincent, having arrived first out of the four, overheard the one called Sonic give his introduction. He had also overheard his questions about their mission.

"Alright, listen up everyone," Vincent began, his tone of authority fairly higher than most of those within the group. With the exception of Paul of course. "Mentor told us that there is a girl here that Timemaster is after. Her name is Teresa, and apparently she can see into the future. Mentor believes that this girl could help us in fixing the time stream."

Blinx stepped forward, arming his time-sweeper. "What of the Time Monsters? Would there be any here or in any of the other worlds we travel to?" Blinx asked, seeing as how curiousity was in a cat's nature.

"We don't know," The ten-year old Razputin replied, clearly having been in similar situations before, but they didn't involve time travel. "We won't accomplish much just by sitting around I can tell you that much..."

The gruff sailor extended his web-fingered hand. [color=teal]"Hank Waters. Used to be Captain Waters, but after the whole 'Energy X' ordeal, I go by the name of my lost ship... the Man O' War."[/color] Waters looked about the dark-clothed ninja and arched the brow over his patched eye.

[color=teal]"Ol' Mentor is probably looking for ya lad. Come with me, there be no sharks in these here waters laddie."[/color] With that, the blue hero hovered away, the sound of flowing water was all that could be heard from the man who claimed to be a former ship captain.[/blockquote]

[blockquote]Alchemiss didn't say much else to the soldier who was following her, although she could definitely feel his eyes galring up and down her body. Call it "woman's intuition", but she called it "magic". She ignored it until [b]Solid Snake[/b] had followed her to the room where three men stood.

Mentor, Minuteman, and Microwave stood and looked on as Alchemiss entered with Snake.

[color=darkblue]"Ah, it seems we have another recruit Mentor."[/color] Minuteman said with great pleasure, extending his hand to the man who appeared to serve the US Military. [color=darkblue]"Glad to see the old Stars and Bars right, lad?"[/color]

Mentor approached before Minuteman became too attached to Solid Snake. [color=limegreen]"Solid Snake, I presume? I believe you have some questions as to why you are here..."[/color][/blockquote]

"Ah, it seems we have another recruit Mentor."

~Minuteman said with great pleasure, extending his hand towards Snake. He wouldn't shake anybodys hand untill he found out what was going on. Maybe even then he wouldn't.~

"Glad to see the old Stars and Bars right, lad?"

~Mentor approached before Minuteman became too attached to Solid Snake.~

"Solid Snake, I presume? I believe you have some questions as to why you are here..."

"You're damn right you have some questions to answer! You better start answerin now too. I'm gettin tired of waitin."

After bewilderedly listening to the conversations between his current team members and the new arrivals, Paul Phoenix heard a mistake in the ten year old's speech.

"We won't accomplish much just by sitting around I can tell you that much..." Raz had said.

Paul chuckled. "Shows how much you know, genius," he said sarcastically, approaching the center of the group. "Do you see any of us on our butts? We're not sitting around like you said, smarty. What you meant is that we won't get anywhere just standing around." Paul crossed his arms and flashed a grin, proud of his correction.

"Well," the boy robot started, "whether we're sitting or standing, we should probably go over there." Mega Man pointed his thumb toward the man to which Sonic was referring. "We have a mission to accomplish. Let's go save the universe."

OOC: Sorry for not posting yesterday...and the short post today. I had a friend fly in for a couple days that I haven't seen in a few years.

 

OOC: Just wanted to warn you all that I'm not going to be available over the weekend. I'll be back come tuesday at the latest. Feel free to go ahead and I'll catch up.

"Well," the young robotic boy said, "whether we're sitting or standing, we should probably go over there." Mega Man pointed his thumb toward the man to which Sonic was referring. "We have a mission to accomplish. Let's go save the universe."

Paul opened his right palm and punched his left fist into it, rolling his neck and receiving a satisfying pop. "Nothin' like a good workout."

Game in which you originate: Final Fantasy VII
Biography: Loud, reckless and laid-back, Reno was put in charge of the Turks after Tseng was injured, belying his seniority despite his slacker appearance. He is usually seen fighting alongside Rude.

He fights with an electric rod and communicates easily with his supposed enemies, AVALANCHE, as shown when he called Tifa to request for Cloud's services in Advent Children. Reno and Rude also brought Cloud and Tifa's unconscious bodies back to the Seventh Heaven after Tifa's battle with Loz. Although refusing to follow Cloud's wishes to rescue the children in the Sleeping Forest, Reno and Rude assisted in battling Yazoo and Loz respectively in Edge.

IC Reno

Reno yawned lightly, streaching his arms up over his head. He was sitting on a chair in the main room of the Healin Lodge. Rude and Rufus were no where in sight. Reno yawned again and stood up, taking out his electric rod. He twirled it around for a bit, throwing it up into the air, kicking with his feet. Reno then caught the rod once more, placing it on his shoulder slightly behind his neck. He chuckled, sticking his tongue out slightly.

"Where in the hell are they. Maybe I should give Cloud and Tifa a call."

Reno pulled a cellphone out of his pocket, flipping it open. He dialed in a number, putting the phone to his ear. Reno sighed, drumming his fingers on the back of the chair he had been sitting in before. The phone continued to ring for a while before the voicemail picked up. Reno sighed, closing his cell phone. He sat down in his chair again, scratching the back of his neck. After a while the front door of the Healin Lodge opened and Rude came strolling in, pushing Rufus in his wheelchair. Reno stood up, kicking the chair he was sitting in out of the way as Rude rolled Rufus towards the center of the room.

"It's about time, I thought you guys weren't going to show."

"Relax Reno. Be glad we're here."

Rufus said in his quiet tone. Reno chuckled, twirling his electric rod before putting it away again. Rude adjusted his suit and sunglasses, clearing his throat lightly. Reno raised an eyebrow, opening his mouth to speak. Before he could say anything, the building shook and sent Reno and Rude to the floor. Rufus' wheelchair slid agaisnt the floor lightly, tilting to the side dangerously before landing back on both wheels.

"What the hell was that!"

Reno cried, pushing himself up. He quickly took his electric rod out once again, opening the front door and running outside. The ground shook again and several cracks appeared on the ground. Reno gripped onto the rail lightly, to keep himself from falling again. He looked back inside, to see Rude was holding onto Rufus' wheelchair. Reno opened his mouth again to say something, but was cut off as more cracks came along the ground. Reno cursed out loud, but before he could do anything he was sucked into a pink portal. The last thing he heard was Rude and Rufus shouting out his name.

The two said in unison. It was almost as if the were on the same wavelength or something. That, or else Mentor knew exactly what Minuteman would say at that very moment.

The red headed Reno had emerged from the timestream in a most unfamiliar place. All around him, women in pink and green dresses and men in blue and brown suits paced the streets, paying him absolutely no mind at all. Very confusing indeed.

Suddenly from directly beneath the visitor from another time, a red and brown costumed lad burrowed his way from under the concrete road. To Reno, he looked to be more of an insect or some kind of monster from his realm. That is, until it spoke.

"Jeez! Are you okay! I didn't mean to pop up right from under ya like that. I'm The Ant, and I've been ordered to escort you to the Freedom Fortress..." The costumed stranger explained, though following a stranger wasn't something many people would do. Lucky for the Ant, Reno wasn't many people.

OOC: Glad to hear we still have some of our main players. I was afraid I'd have to split scenarios for a second there.

As soon as Reno landed he stood up as fast as he could, spinning around wildly with his electric rod out. Confusion hit him as he saw the people around him and how they ignored him. Reno scratched his read, standing up straight. Then suddenly a costumed lad popped up out of the ground beneath Reno. Reno fell backwards and onto his butt, startled as the costumed lad spoke.

"Jeez! Are you okay! I didn't mean to pop up right from under ya like that. I'm The Ant, and I've been ordered to escort you to the Freedom Fortress..."

Reno raised an eyebrow, pushing himself up. He put away his electric rod, scratching his head again. Obviously, he was still confused. He wanted to know what happened to Rude, his fighting partner, his friend. He also wanted to know what happened to the others, if they had been sucked into this world just like he had been.

"Freedom Fortress? Where the hell is that? Well nevermind, if it's going to get me some answers then by all means, lead the way Ant man."

He looked around at the group. Everybody seemed to be all `gung ho` about starting the mission, but nobody wanted to take charge.

"Okay then," Mega Man said. He turned around and began walking toward the bandit...or whatever he was. They couldn't just stand around all day. The very existance of the universe is at stake. "Let's see if this guys knows anything about the girl."

Rush trotting along next to him.

Paul followed the robotic boy up the path. He wondered if the three bandits at the top were decent fighters. It didn't matter either way, for he could take them out with a few swift kicks and punches.

Paul, always acting on instinct and never thinking about the possible consequences he could face, shouted to the three men. "Hey there, you know where we are?"

While Paul shouted, Mega Man continued to walk, waiting for the bandits' reaction. He was prepared to change his hand into the arm cannon...just in case. "Get ready to act fast," he whispered to the dog next to him.

Rush nodded in response.

Bandits

Albion, Clifftop Path

The bandits turned, all three of them, and the largest one let out a shrill whistle. In doing so, the heroes could hear the large scraping and closing of the gates behind the three bandits.

"Ey! You isn't ahlowed up 'ere! Ah'll show you! YAH!" The lead bandit yelled, he and his companions charging both Mega Man and Paul Phoenix with wickedly curved blades and nasty crossbow bolt volleys.

Paul readied himself as the three bandits charged with their lethal weapons. He clenched his fists until his knuckles popped, and looked over to MegaMan. "Let's go," he said, and with that he charged towards the bandits.

Closing the distance between himself and the bandits, Paul lowered his body a bit and flew at one of the them, attempting to tackle him from his waist. "AHHH!!!" he shouted as he leaped from the grass.

~Snake was getting pretty pissed. The vains in his arms got bigger and in his neck. These two nut jobs were making him get to the point where if they didn't tell him what was going on and why he was here he was going to choke it out of them.~

IC: as Mega Man and Rush

Mega Man morphed his arm into that megabuster and watched Paul Phoenix try and tackle one of them. "Time to give him some cover fire," Mega Man said to himself as he aimed at the other two bandits. He fired numerous pellets in thier direction. They would probably be easy to dodge at that distance, but he hoped it would distract them from attacking Phoenix. Plus, it would show Mega Man just what these bandits were capable of.

Rush watched the battle intently and waited for his master's command.

Freedom Force

Patriot City, Freedom Fortress, Computer Room

Mentor sighed and used his psychic abilties to calm the irrate emotions of Solid Snake. The ability he used was known to the Freedom Force as Cerebral Balance, and it could cure any mental state including rage and anger.

"I apologize for not getting to the point sooner, but to sum things up, your world had been destroyed by a time traveling scientist named Timemaster. There are others, like yourself, who have been saved from certain death and brought here to defeat Timemaster and restore their worlds to their whole originiality." Mentor explained, trying to use his Cerebral Balance to further calm the soldier.

"We've already sent several recruits to one of the worlds ravaged by that fiend Timemaster, and we could really use your help on this one, son." Minuteman added, hoping to gain an alliance with the man standing before them.

[blockquote]The lead bandit found himself wrapped up in [b]Paul[/b]'s arms, getting quickly wrestled to the ground. The bandit wasn't without options however, as he reached for a jagged dagger hidden just in one of his shoulder plates.

[b]Mega Man[/b]'s pellets threw off the aim of the other two bandits launching volleys of bolts from their crossbows. The bandit who was closer to the gate whistled a shrill whistle as well, the gates opening and more bandits rushing through. Three more joined the previous three, making their numbers increase substantially.[/blockquote]

[b]Timemaster

[i]Temporal Rift; Gears of Time[/i][/b]

[blockquote]Sitting upon a luxurious throne made of temporal energy and invulnerable metals stolen from other temporal worlds, the power-hungry scientist known as the [b]Timemaster[/b] ponders his next attempt to gather energy to sustain himself.

[hl=purple][color=yellow]"Blast! Those puny heroes are out to foil my plans again! How dare they use my scheme to their advantage!"[/color][/hl] The gigantic sentient ranted, stomping his foot in anger. In doing so, he summoned forth minions gathered from worlds he had first ravaged.

[hl=yellow][color=green]"Please doctor. Mind your temper,"[/color][/hl] The advanced supercomputer entity known as [b]AL[/b] replied, in a feeble attempt to calm the mad tyrant. The self-aware computer turned his floating, green head towards a portal formed on one of the ever-turning time gears.

From the portal, three figures exited, each completely different from the others. These minions of Timemaster served as bodyguards and confidants to the Time-tyrant, and would follow his every order to the grave... if he dared let them reach it.

The first was a figure the size of an average human male, and the appearance to boot. Except for the red facemask and red armor. He appeared to be more of a robotic samurai than anything, but his head was accented by black tendrils. He is [b]Sektor[/b], taken from Outworld to serve as a bodyguard and protector of Timemaster.

The next was a large female of about 9 feet tall. Four spidery limbs jutted from her already monstrous frame, each tipped with a poisoned barb. Her lower legs resembled that of a reptilian lizard, and her face took on the gorgeous appearance of an elven maiden. She is [b]Andariel[/b], a lesser demon from the depths of hell, once summoned by Diablo and his two brothers, and now summoned by Timemaster for her sheer power and magical ability.

Finally, the third and last to stand at attention for the maniacal Timemaster, an odd looking creature seeming to be an eyeball with two muscular arms for legs and a mounted machine-gun. The yellowish-brown eye did not have eyelids, and instead was covered in a mucusy film to keep out any unwanted substances. He is [b]Orbb[/b], the technologically advanced eyeball from a universe controlled by beings only slig
