Reports coming in that Richard LeParmentier aka Admiral Motti has passed away RIP http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/star-wars-admiral-motti-actor-died-125400936.html
RIP. That's really too bad. I saw him at an autograph signing with some other Star Wars actors not long ago. He seemed to get along with Daniel Logan really well. He also seemed in good health. He was only 66 after all.
Will also remember him for the great Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and try to forget he was in the worst Bond film of the lot, sitting alongside General Rieekan at the circus. R.I.P.
Of course, 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?'! A sad loss to the industry and the 'Star Wars' family, but one who's iconic role will be forever treasured. RIP.
RIP R.L. His role in ANH was small but iconic - probably one of the best DV scenes in the OT. I remember he was one of the few Imperials who spoke English with an American accent (as opposed to a British accent). Also remember him in the underrated James Caan '70's flick Rollerball...
Spoke to him at a convention about 15 years ago about his roles in Star Wars and Superman II. A thoroughly nice guy. R.I.P.
Saw him at some convention a few years back but couldn't get near him, he seemed to be enjoying the fans fussing round him and come across as a genuinely nice bloke. He was superb in the tiny role of the only Imperial underling who had the balls to tell Vader what the score was. RIP man
