It was neither Michael Jackson's best work, nor Lucas or Francis Ford Coppola's but it is a part of my childhood. RIP MJ.

I never saw Captain Eo. Was it based on anything, or just a character made up for the attraction?

It was entirely for the movie/attraction. And I think it should be brought back in a special edition cleaned up and presented in new high tech theatres at the theme parks.

Huh, I'd never heard of this before. I agree with Strilo, I'd like to see this.

What songs are they? Were they specially made for it or are they some of his other songs?

"We Are Here to Change the World" and "Another Part of Me."

Both were created specially for the attraction with "Another Part of Me" later appearing on the Bad album and "We Are Here to Change the World" being released in 2004.
