General Immodet I think we should have a team on standby to destroy the Lance after Sing neutralizes the Jedi. I can have some of my men on standby to make sure this weapon is destroyed properly. I wouldn't trust any being who isn't 100 percent loyal to our cause to handle such a sensitive matter.

You are correct, Shadow Trooper. Aurra Sing has a lot of dealings with the Hutts.
I don't think she would betray us if she gets paid right. Still, we cannot take any risks.
Once Sing has taken out the Jedi, then your squad will make sure the Lance is destroyed.

Master Selkath, there is one thing I would like to propose.
Shadow Trooper's men must send proof, otherwise there is no absolute certainty the data was deleted.
Someone of our own organization might use the data to overthrow your rule, my Overlord.

General Immodet I have no ambitions to usurp our Underlord. If you recall, I was Master Selkath's staunchest supporter when we initially began this organization. I personally nominated him for the position of Underlord. My only aspiration in this organization is to control of the galaxy's smuggling markets. If you still do not trust me, I invite you or any other suspicious Vigo to deploy your own forces to monitor my men.

 

The owner of this data can bring all high-ranking members of Black Sun down tot its knees, Shadow Trooper.
I am sure many people would be tempted... to withhold this information for their own purposes.

That is true. My own employees have betrayed me in the past when they thought that they could benefit from it. Thankfully Shadowmancer was able to punish the offenders before they could do too much damage. Traitors stealing the Lance would cause a far more serious incident than a couple of renegade smugglers so we should definitly take far more precautions.

I concur with General Immodet. As long as the Lance exists it is a threat to all of us. I don't think any of the Vigos would approve the continued existence of something that contains blackmail information on us. We formed this new Black Sun to do things differently than they were under Garyn and together we ushered in a new era of co-operation for this organization. With the use of the Lance, Garyn could bully the Vigos into submission. It is this style of administration that we Vigos sought to abolish. I must insist that you permit us to destroy the Lance.

 

I will make this one offer and we will do this to appease everyone. You will bring the Lance here and then I wish to personally see it destroyed. I trust you Shadow Trooper and I trust you abilities but I want to see it destroyed. I want to know that the thing is truly destroyed. That is my decision.

Aurra Sing has accepted our generous offer and has also agreed to our conditions. She has begun to hunt the Jedi scum even as we speak. Forgive the delayed report Vicelord. There were a few complications, but all has been, ‘taken care of’.

This jedi was a particularly resourceful one. Using decoys and utilizing other ‘unsavory’ types to run interference was not beneath his tactics. No surprise there, coming from a cult of hypocrites.

Aurra Sing came through, and as promised, the jedi has been neutralized. The Lance is now in Vigo@Shadow Trooper’s possession and en route to our Overlord, @Master Selkath.

I’ve assigned a small security retinue to act as additional escort.

Also, my informants have not reported any ‘reactions’ from the Jedi or any other force, so far. All communications during the encounter were blocked and any trails have been erased. When the Jedi finally realize this one missing, they will find nothing to go on.


The Lance is ours.
