SWRPF Archive Rise of the Jedi (161 ABY)

IC: Uisdean

The Jedi Master who was newly assigned here to the post, walked slowly along the garden. He took time to smell each flower, savoring each scent as he did this, his hand would come up lightly on the under side of the flower, and then brought to his nose sniffing softly the ever so sweet scent.

His steps were so soft that it sounded like the flap of a butterfly wing as his feet hit the ground. He was obviously unique in his own way as he had only two toes and had speciality boots that were issued by the Temple. He had taken in a deep breath as he could feel the planet, it was at ease...there was a traquil sense here. He closed his eyes and floated there for about ten galatic minutes. It was nice to finally be out of that ship and to be able to walk around.

His hand came upon a tree as he walked slowly and he felt the soft foilage of the tree that was over head. He smiled every so slightly as his left lips were pulled in that direction with a sort of snort as he exhaled, he was very happy it seems that he had found a place in which he had wished to find in a very few places. His recent transfer to this location was of no surprise to him, or for that matter anyone who knew him.

He had on his ceremonial Jedi Robes. He was in his gear two lightsabers clipped at his sides, they had swung to and fro as he walked. He hadn't much bagage. His lightsaber and the force were the only two things that a Jedi had truly needed.

Uisdean had sensed the presence of two other Jedi Masters here as well as a possibility of another one being here, but the signal was strong, then weak, strong then weak. The signal that he was getting perhaps was one of untrained origins. He had walked into the temple and begun to familiarize himself with the structure and the layout of the facility. He had taken the liberty as he knew that not many were aware of the fact that he was going to be arriving on such short notice.

IC: Serenity

Hidden Jedi Temple, Zhar System

The Garden


Serenity looked up to see two of her former classmates Aiden and Norla, now Jedi Knights. Seeing them together made her sad.
She was not jealous, but she just wished she could have the same deep bond of friendship. But her memory loss again disabled her, and she couldn?t completely trust the people she met.

Her master had sensed this and had been working with her to build trust in him and in turn trying to break down the barriers in her head, so she could possibly retrieve her memory. Unfortunately there had been no progress yet, and her master had been sent away on a mission. He had not been heard of in 3 standard months?

She decided to forget it. Master Skywalker had taught them it did not do to dwell on things that could not be changed at the present. To be bogged down with regret and indecision inhibited the spirit and in turn the individuals? connection to the Force. She made her way through the garden back towards the Temple, when somebody she didn?t recognise approached her.


"Hello there, young one. My name is Jedi Master Ryshin Thraell. May I inquire what is your name?"


?Jedi Master Ryshin Thraell!?, Serenity thought to herself in amazement, ?The legendary Jedi Master has returned at last; and here he is talking to me??


?Hello, Master Thraell. My name is Serenity, and I am a padawan here at the Temple. It?s an honour to meet you?.


At that moment a loud banging could be heard that distracted Serenity from the conversation. She turned to the Jedi Master.


?That is coming from the main entrance doors?, she said with a quizzical look on her face, ?it seems someone wants to come in?, she joked with a smile.


She made off for the hanger and looked back at the Jedi Master she had been speaking to.


?Well aren?t you coming??? she asked him.

IC: Norla Vakan, the Great Hallway, Hidden Jedi Temple, Zhar system

The young woman slowly walked by the main entrance door, as the pounding continued. She could clearly hear that it was a male's voice. Norla listened carefully.

"I also wish ... to become a Jedi. Like the powerful Jedi Obi Wan Kenobi."

She gasped with joy. A person who wants to become a Jedi! But... how did he find the Hidden Jedi Temple? Norla shook the thought from her head, as she went beside the main entrance door, and pressed the code on the entrance control panel. Successfully, the main door opened.

Norla saw the man who was pounding on the door. She smiled. "Welcome..."

IC: Uisdean
The Young Jedi Master had been prematurely awaken from his meditation as he had heard a loud banging, normally he would chalk this up to fighting in the dueling arena. He knew that it wasn't around the place in which he was meditating as he had already familiarized himelf with the layout of the structure.

He began to slowly let himself move to the ground as he was levitating and meditating at the sametime. He stood up and moved towards where the nose was coming from. I do not like this, I sense many Padawan's and younglings around here, but this force is perhaps the one I sense when I landed. he thought to himslf as he moved with more haste towards the main entrance and he ran now towards the door as he came to a dead end, it was the Jedi training facility, he hadn't familiarized himself with the facility that well.

Uisdean ran quickly around the corner and then eventually down a long hall way, the lightsabers making a clicking sound as he ran towards the sound of the distrubance. He moved and eventually found his way to the foyer, he arrived just in time to watch the padawan open up the door and look at the person who stood before them. He watched the young Jedi apprentice. " Don't open the door for anyone. " he said as he looked toward the young female Jedi.

He began to pace as he didn't know what to make of this man, his mind was racing a thousand miles a minute. His mind was clouded as of late and he didn't know if this was a friend or a foe. He had to be told by someone where this location was at. Uisdean.

"Who are you, and how did you find this place?" he asked immediately as he was striaght to the point, he wished to know those things and get to the bottom of his immediately.

Ryshin bowed to the young Jedi. "Good day, Serenity. If you don't mind me asking, where is your master?" Ryshin asked, before hearing knocking on the Main Entrance Doors.

Ryshin had to grin at the padawans response. "Of course i'm coming." Ryshin replied.

He ran off to the Main Entrance to find another Master berating the knocker. "Hey, Master Uisdean, lay off. I know that only force sensitives would be able to find this place. I take full responisblity for his actions, but really, back off." Ryshin said darkly.

He had looked at the Master and watched him for a moment. "As you wish, Perhaps in the future you should make the rest of the temple aware that a guest is coming. " he walked past him and stopped just past him. "I don't wish to argue, but incase you have forgotten Master Ryshin, the sith can use the force as well. If you have sensed as I have already, then you would know that trust is not a liberty that we have at this point in time. I think perhaps the Jedi Order is in need of just that, Order" The last Order stressed very heavily.

He would move over to the side and just watch from there. He was interested to see exactly what the respected master was so eager to jump down his throat about. He would merely put up his cloaks hood and watch from the depths of the side.

IC: Serenity

Main Entrance


Serenity kept looking between the two Masters, not sure of what to do or what might happen. Yet the Force was telling her there was no harm or danger of anything getting out of hand.
She turned to see Jedi Knight Norla thinking the same thing. Serenity smiled at her with relief.

Yet no one seemed to have noticed their visitor was still standing their unnoticed at the moment. She thought she had better go and get him inside the main entrance so the doors could be closed again. Any questioning, she knew, would be up to the Jedi Masters of the Temple, perhaps Master Skywalker himself.

She walked up to the visitor.

?Hi. I?m sorry for this, but you have caused quite a commotion! We don?t get unexpected visitors to the Temple very often??, she thought for a second, ?actually we don?t get unexpected visitors ever.

Serenity emphasised that last word, to get the message across of how unusual this situation was and in turn, the possibility of consequences for his actions.

"You?ll have to come in and wait till this can be sorted out. And I?d be careful if I was you, you might be in BIG trouble.?

Ryshin looked the Jedi Master over. "But not being to be rude, Master Uisdean, but if he were a Sith, would he not have killed the person who opened the door, or would not have knocked, but CUT through it." Ryshin said. "And if you DO sense what I do, then you can see no dark intention what so ever." Ryshin finished. He turned towards their new guest. "Hello there, do not mind Master Uisdean, he's just being a bit overprotective." Ryshin said with a smile.

IC Kyle Brand

Kyle's mouth fell open he was right, the jedi, their temple and all their knowledge right where he least expected it. Kyle disengaged his lightsaber before he was misunderstood, again.
"Hello, master Jedi's I um...well...I sort of... dropped out of hyperspace into your system and wellI think you should know that the coordinates of this system were given to me by... who I thought was an Imperial commander but i don't know." Kyle didn't know what to say he was so shocked at having a chance to finally hang up smuggling and gunning for the Hutts and do something with himself.
Mustering all the courage he possibly could he asked the Jedi infront of him "What must i do to join your order?" Then off his belt loop he heard his droid R5 calling him aparently his aft laser battery and hyper drive were shot, and unless these Jedi were going to accept and help him he wasn't going anywhere.

IC: Serenity

Main Entrance

Serenity didn?t get this guy. He was one track minded- all he could think about was that he wanted to train as a Jedi, not thinking about the fact that he had come to a place that no one was supposed to find of their own accord.

Serenity?s Force senses were tingling. Something about this wasn?t right. Didn?t he say that an Imperial Commander gave him the coordinates to here??

?That can?t be right?, she thought, ?Or it is correct, and something is terribly wrong.?

She didn?t like this one bit. There was something else she didn?t like about this budding Jedi pupil...

?Excuse me sir, but where did you get that lightsaber from???

IC: Norla Vakan, Main Entrance, Hidden Jedi Temple, Zhar system

The young Jedi Knight watched as the conversation went on. It was good to see a person that wanted to join the Jedi Order. But how could the Imperials give him the coordinates to this Hidden Temple? How could they know? Maybe Master Skywalker knew the answers to these questions...

Suddenly she glanced at Master Uisdean, who was standing at the side, watching all this happen. She felt bad that she opened the door, even for a person the Jedi didn't know.

Norla walked quietly beside Master Uisdean, and stood by him. She bowed her head in respect. "I'm truly sorry for opening the door, Master. I... wasn't thinking."

Uisdean looked at the young woman and thought for a moment and patted her on the shoulder. "There is no harm done. When there is harm done then feel sorry. " he said as he looked towards Norla, a cool look about his face. His eyes watching the conversation that was going on and looked over to Master Ryshin. "That is quite enough Master Ryshin. " he was about to show who was being rude.

"Yes, as we all know Darth Sidious wasn't able to hide in plain sight. We have never known the sith or imperials to be deceptive at all(saracism). I was sent here to protect this temple, I shall do that. I would ask that you provide me with the respect that I have earned and not fire insults. I am not going to get into a compitation with you for anything. We both want the samething Master Ryshin, so in the future.....do not open the door. I would suggest that Master Skywalker be told about this, our location could be compromised. " he said as he turned on his heels and used the force to open the door if it was closed. He had enough of this pissing compitation with the other Master, he would begin to head towards the brush that would be off in the distance. He prefered that other than this place at the moment, it seems as though most of them are ignoring the way he is dressed, the new arrival that is, a bounty hunters look he thought.

Uisdean was always a lone wolf anyways, he didn't like to be at the temple, not during meditation hour. It was a very much time for meditation as he needed to deliberate on what has transpired here today.

Clearly, it wasn't Seth's day by any stretch of the imagination. No sooner had he been preparing to leave Coruscant than multiple troops arrived at the hangar to try and arrest him. He groaned just thinking about it. He hadn't been sold out, the credits in his account made that abundantly clear, so what gave? Who had tipped them off? Or was he just getting well known? Regardless, he had managed to narrowly get away by plugging in some more random coordinates, a practice he really had to stop using.

He leaned back in his chair, contemplating his next move. It was probably time to lay low for a while, find some backwater world to stay on for a few weeks. Perhaps wherever this route dumped him off.

He nodded decisively. Yes, that was it. Set up base on wherever he ended up for awhile, then pack up and head out when the heat died down. The only problem was...

Where was he going to end up?

Ryshin turned towards Master Uisdean. "And I have never heard of an Imperial or Sith to use Obi-Wan Kenobi as an admire(Sarcasim). I also do not want to fire insults. But, what your doing is being overprotective. We haven't been sent out on a single mission to find Jedi Canadates since the attack on Ossus. And also, I will show you respect once you show me mine. You deserve it, but that dosen't mean anyone else dosen't." Ryshin said, a bit bitter as the other Master left. He turned towards Norla. "Norla, if you please, escort our new guest towards Master Skywalker, and if you can't find him. Foind our guest a quaters. I'm going to meditate." Ryshin said, before walking out back into the garden, walking into the middle of a somewhat large pond. Then, using the force, he sat cris crossed, hovering above the water.

OOC: Since Cade is the Grand Master (GM) of the Council, shouldn't the GM control him?

 

IC Kyle Brand

"Well thanks, but I dont want to intruded but if you heard my com, and understand my droid you will know that if you want me to stay or go I'll need some help repairing my ship"
"Answering your other questions well I...found it...on Tatooine in an old hut, out deep in the Dune Sea. It saved my life twice once on Dxun when I was getting chased through the jungle by cannoks and then on Tatooine when I had the intelligence to drive my speeder into a Tusken camp." Kyle said as he followed the Jedi who was leading him to either their leader or prison. Kyle hadn't learned alot about the Jedi belife of this Force... but he had become proficient in his lightsaber techniques or, at least what he called a technique. At last the Jedi led him to a room not a Jail or a leader, but what Kyle guessed were his quarters, which was just another place Kyle thought of as jail, where another could watch you and look up your bounty. Last time Kyle checked his was gettin high something like 32,900 alive and 20,000 dead. So many time had he come so close to finding the bounty's issuer but just to have the hunter he had captured die in his arms. pulling out his com he told his droid R5 to reactivate his 13 HK-50 droids and assign 7 of them to do guard duty and the other 6 to patrol the jungle around the ship. on top of that he gave the orders in Huttese just to make it hard for his host/ captors to understand.

 

OOC: And now, through the magic of the Force (of my Will) my character actually ends up where other characters are!

The lines collapsed back into stars, and Seth, ever confidant in his navigating abilities, checked his coordinates.

"... Where am I?"

He scratched his head in mild bewilderment. He was still in known space, that he could tell. Still, this wasn't a set of coordinates he had ever encountered before. And he had seen [i]a lot[/i] of coordinates in his day, to the point that he ran exclusively on manual, with no readout. Helped keep the [i]Runner's Bane[/i] running properly, actually. So he was either somewhere he had never been before... or he was getting senile. He chuckled slightly, the bartender had been right: he [i]did[/i] sound like an old man.

He looked out the cockpit windows. There was a system there, alright. The main planet seemed to have an abundance of plant life, that or an extremely toxic atmosphere. In any case he noticed an exceptional amount of green coloration. He ran a brief scan of the atmosphere. It wasn't the most sophisticated piece of equipment, but it would at least tell him if he would be able to breathe down there.

Toxin detectors came back negative, and a primarily oxygenated atmosphere meant only one thing: He could stay here for a while. He grinned triumphantly: Seth Durron, world's greatest smuggler, had done it again.

How [i]was[/i] he going to introduce himself when he retired?

Seth took his time landing the ship in the relatively dense jungle, and thus was eventually able to navigate all the way to the ground with relatively little hassle. A good thing, considering how there was probably no way he could get his ship repaired out... wherever this was.

His ship firmly planted on solid ground, Seth strolled down the loading dock, blaster pistol at the ready, observing his surroundings. It was always a good idea to be on your toes in a new environ, something Seth had picked up on early. Last thing he needed was a giant scorpion-tailed cat or some such insanity leaping out at him. The soil seemed firm, surprising for an environment like this. Theoretically, someone could have set up a city of some sorts...

If anyone actually lived here. It seemed fairly sparsely populated, if that even. He pulled out a nutrition stick and took a nibble from one end. Yes, this would make an ideal hiding place.

IC Kyle Brand

" Hello is anybody out there." Kyle said as he pounded on his quarters door. Thinking to himself he thought " I knew I shouldn't have gotten myself into this mess. But yet stupid me I thought that I was a Jedi, yeah right." And below him he felt his com link buzz. "Yeah what is it R5" there at his com a video popped up, of a ship coming down and landing in the jungle. He knew the ship but he just couldn't remember where he had seen it. Kyle went back to his door " Hey you...Jedi, yeah you got a visitor another smuggler like me." he said as he lifted his com back to his mouth "R5, yes im fine, but that ship if anyone gets out tell HK-50 number 4 to tail do not engage unless attacked copy?" a few beeps resonated through Kyle's com from his droid as it gave him an affirmative. " Very good, i'll check in soon.

IC: Uisdean

He had been traveling as he found the perfect place to meditate and sat down. He was silent his breathing slowed to a near crawl and he was a distance away from anything that was the temple. It was very nice to be out here with the force flowing all around him.

Uisdean could sense the force, he could hear it? it sounded like thrusters, and then stablizers? this was odd. He hadn't heard the force make such strange noises and then he opened his eyes almost as a ship was about to land on him, he rolled out of the way. He was in such a foul mood that he had forgot the world around him, Such a narrow minded group. He took a few deep breaths as the landing platform had come out, he was under it as he waited for the emergence of a being.

Seth had walked down, he didn't seem to be an imperial, but it was needless to say something that he wasn't going to trust just to his eyes, for they lie. He ignited his dual bladed lightsaber at the feet of Seth.

"Drop the weapon, unless you want to be on the same eye level as a jawa, and keep your hands where I can see them. " he began to crawl out from under the landing platform.

"Your name boy. I am looking for your name. "

Im so sorry.... i have to resign from this game, i have hardly any internet aceess and i would be doing yall justice if i stayed in, i realize i was a key character, or two actually...

so yeah,.... i started anoyther job, so im busy like 16 hours of the day and i just dont have time.....

Seth wasn't the type that needed to be told more than once to do something, especially when he had a... what'd they call 'em? [i]Lightsaber[/i] pointed at him. "Sure thing, [i]boy[/i]," he replied, his tone mildly condescending, as he placed his blaster on the ground, being careful not to cleave his ankles off. This was vaguely humiliating, and the fact that someone who was about ten years his junior was threatening him didn't help.

He placed his hands behind his head slowly before rising back to his feet. "I didn't mean to intrude. Name's Seth Durron. I'm just a passerby who quite literally happened upon this place by chance. If you've got a problem with that, I'll just get back aboard my ship and be off." He threw a sideways glance toward the bushes. "Only call off your pet droid. Seriously, I'm old and unarmed, you can't actually need back up."

He was being uncommonly smug and sarcastic, even by his own standards, considering the situation. But, hey, he had an ancient weapon pointed at his ankles. "And could we not have that thing in immediate proximity to my ankles. They tend to cut easily."

IC HK 50 #4 ( One of my droids)

"Greetings: My master brings you welcome Seth Durron ship captain of the Runner's Bane."
"Explanation: Oh Seth my master told me you were old and you may not remember but he told me you once knew him.
"Pondering thought: Although my master is a very capable smuggler he may tend to misplace a name and face or two.
"Theart: Well Jedi i have no quarell with you but might I remind you Seth that you should... watch your back."

The droid finished his last statement by activating a cloaking field and stepping on board Seth's ship.

 

OOC: Is it permissable to write in an RPG with a sock??

Also, I don't know if it's just me, but some things I'm reading I can't quite understand. Could you guys be clearer with sentence structre and grammar please??

 

OOC: I understand, Tooqui_the_Jedi. Guess someone else has to play the Sith Lord, the Sith apprentice, and Aiden Skywalker. *Sigh* I'm sorry...

And don't worry, JadePhoenix. As GM, I've got everything covered. Guys? Could you be clearer in sentence structure and grammer? Thanks. And I'll play as Cade Skywalker too.


Norla Vakan, in Kyle's Quarters, Hidden Jedi Temple, Zhar system

The young Jedi Knight went to get Kyle's food at the kitchen. When she got back, she heard him say something from the other side of the door.

"Hey you...Jedi, yeah you got a visitor another smuggler like me."

When he said that, Norla shook her head, smiling warmly. She opened Kyle's room door. She set the food on his table, and looked up at him. "Don't worry. I'm sure the other Jedi Masters will take care of it. They won't do no harm. I promise." Norla bowed. "Please forgive this... confusing moment. We don't get a lot of vistors, you see. Also, you're not a prisoner, if you're thinking that. The other Jedi should repair your ship soon."

Norla gave him a reassuirng smile.

IC: Cade Skywalker, inside Jedi Council room, Hidden Jedi Temple, Zhar system

Sitting on his seat, alone in the room, Master Cade Skywalker had his eyes closed, thinking. Everything around him seemed to go on so rapidly. It tensed him a little, but he had to restrain himself. When he was young, he was reckless and tough. But as the years past, he became wise, just like Luke Skywalker, his ancestor.

Suddenly, he felt a great disturbance in the Force. The Dark Side was approaching. With the Sith... rising again. Cade got up from his seat, and pressed the main speaker, and called on everyone in the Temple. "All Jedi of the Temple. I have some news to tell everyone. Meet me in the main Auditorium. Master Skywalker out."

After that, Cade went to the auditorium to wait on the other students and Masters.

As the Jedi who had brought him food gave Kyle a reassuring smile, Kyle said,"Yeah well dont be to upset when, Seth smooth talks his way in here and steals what ever valuables you've got."
With that he took a nibble from his food and a sip of his drink, and thought to himself "Maybe the Jedi way is not my path.
