I am going to kill my sister. she has still not showen up. I am so sorry guys. I am all dressed up and no place to go. me and wylee are just siting here watching Ep 1. well I hope everything is going well with you guys. once again I am so sorry.

 

Riqui - we had a great turnout but we missed you! Had some new members show up and also a Clone Trooper, Barris Offee and Tie Figher Pilot troop up from Orlando to join us.

There will always be a next time (as you know!).

Share your phone number with some of us for a back-up plan next time - I was coming from the beaches after work so I could have swung by and picked ya'll up.

Good to see all the new apprentices too.
I was truly disappointed that 15 of the kids were in the hospital. My heart really broke for the boy who loves SW but had kidney surgery and couldn't come. It was worth it, though, to bring a little bit of love, even if to a few.
Debby said she'd love to have us back and hopes next time to have a bigger turn out of kids.

Actually, I've been thinking about that and would like to know if there would be any interest in doing an event at Wolfson Childrens Hospital. Any interest?

 

I think Melissa checked on this...we both work at Baptist Med Ctr and from what I understand, the only time Wolfson's had open for an event was during the day when most of us are at work. The lady in charge of events said it wouldn't even be worth talking about it because they were so booked.

 

You know . . . I am wondering though at Halloween time if we could troop the halls in costume and give out stuff? Maybe not with the long-term illness children but at the regular hospital?

 

i would love to do something at wolfsons ..... im all about charity and kids..i still dont have my costume....but i can always help anyway im needed, picture taking, passing out goodies, whatever,.....just let me know

 

I would love to visit the children at Wolfon's. I know it would count a lot of people out if we could visit only during the day but I get off work at 3:55pm. Maybe we can get enough of us together to do this event per Wolfon's criteria. Arthur, could we do this like at 4:30 or 5pm. Or is that too late? Just a thought.

 

I think is a great idea, can anybody find out what time is the cut off, Maybe I can work something out that day to like get off early or something like that.

 

I'll talk with my contact there and find out what he can do.

I've spoken with my contact at Wolfson, he told me that they would LOVE to have us and most of the kids are big Star Wars Fans. He said to give him 3 possible dates/times (including evenings) and he will pass them on to the special events people with instructions to select one. Seeing as he is highly placed it will happen.
Now then, who wants to start naming dates and times?

 

I'm all over this. Just let me know in advance the date and I will be there.

 

We can be free for this on weeknights from 5:30 til whenever or Weekends all day every day.
