Edmonton Roadtrip to meet Calgary Fanforce Date Unknown

We're thinking of going down to Calgary on Oct 2 to help the Calgary fanforce get going on their first meeting. Not sure what the plan for the day is yet, there has been a sugestion for bowling or a bbq. Who's interested? What time should we head down and come back? Who's interested in driving?

 

I can drive. My car's pretty reliable. I just need to change the oil and fix that window before then

I can take 2 other people comfortably.

 

I would like to head down earlier in the day, so that we can get back by 1:00am at the latest because I have the Cancer Run in the morning.

I am going to ask my parents if I can borrow their van to haul us all down there.

 

If that's the case then John and you can take everyone then I'll probably drive myself anyway. It'll give me an excuse to visit some relatives down there.

 

Cool, I'm in. It'll be great to have an active group that close.

Sure... we can be on the road by 9 then we'd get there by noon.

 

I will be getting the van for the day, so that problem is solved!

Sounds like Oct 2 is not going to work

Well I could try and get the van for Saturday; a bit of a snag though.

I would have to be back in Leduc by 10:45pm. So that would mean that somebody (or somebodies) would have to leave their car in Leduc for the day so that they could drive people back to Edmonton... it wouldn't be a problem parking at my brothers house I am sure, so you don't need to worry about it being safe.

If we are going to try for this weekend, I will have to give my parents a call to see if I can get the van.

 

This weekend doesn't work for me. I'm probably going to Jasper with my folks.

I'll get a clear answer tomorrow.

Yeah, we will have to put it off from this weekend at least. I posted in Calgary again to see when they might be able to get together.

Hopefully you guys'll be up and running soon. We'll probably try to get arrange a date to come down sometime after thanksgiving.
