RoboCop Begins?

 

I'll take a sleek redesign over a second helping of Space Sheriff Gavan With A Gun.

 

Oh good grief, it looks like one of those Power Ranger allies from Power Rangers: In Space.

 

That'd be because Toei makes both.

 

Hopefully it'll be just as terrific and worthwhile as that Total Recall reboot.

I hope that didn't sound sarcastic.

Are they going to gun metal it out in post? That's not RoboCop, that's some video game crap design.

 

Perhaps with mechanical sound effects it'll seem more Robocopy.

 

Apparently the script includes several versions of RoboCop because iPhone 5 lol; that's probably one of the last ones.

As long as they keep and update the social satire, this reboot might be worth it. At least it might have something to say.

 

but but but.... the sanctity of robocop canon!

 

Just found out Michael Keaton is gonna play a role in this. Okay, this just turned into a must-see for me. Makes me wonder how well it might have worked if he had portrayed the starring role, though.

The Robocop suit does leave something to be desired, but it's very possible they're going to add a unique surface to it in post. And besides, since when do leaked set photos make costumes appear the way they end up looking on-screen? Lighting is such a key factor here.

 

Will he drive a golden motorcycle--that's the big question.

I had one video of Bibleman when I was a kid..I liked it. It was filled with breaking the fourth wall.

The sad thing is that the folks in charge of designing Bibleman's cowl actually seem to have put more love and care into the task than the folks who designed Captain America's rubber hoodie thing.

Not a fan of the new Robocop design, but Judge Dredd's new costume in the reboot was OK despite not being the same as the comic

 

another hollywood remake of an 80's film.....what could possibly go wrong? my bloody valentine, nightmare on elm street, karate kid, friday the 13th, dukes of hazzard, miami vice, the thing, conan the barbarian, footloose, and arthur

oh, i forgot fright night and total recall. there is NO REASON to remake this. the original was flawless

They're also redoing Carrie..or whatever the name of that prom blood witch weird thing

The black suit makes him look like a mechanized Batman on a motorcycle, the silver one is more accurate to robocop, but less appealing.

 

What a great year 2012 has been for remakes.

Total Recall was a complete box office bomb, luckily made at half the budget of John Carter.

The Amazing Spider-Man, though no flop, was by far the least-successful film of the franchise.

Dredd? Hopefully the approach was to make it ultra-cheap like a Resident Evil movie, so that $100 million box office take worldwide will look like a success.
