Well now that we have polar plunged :). Who is up for doing the Rochester Heart Walk April 29, 2006, It is a Saturday Morning.

    http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=3035349

As many of you know my Father in Law had a heart Transplant in January so this one means alot to Lisa and I. I think it would be alot of fun to do the walk in costume. So who's interested? If we have enough interest, I'll sign us up and get some sponsor sheets.

    Thanks-
    Duane

I know that I wouldn't be up for the physical walking part. I just tried walking over to Jo-Ann's and back the other day and that was hard. :p

Is this something you were thinking of doing in armor or plain clothes? I was just thinking if it's "press release" material then I will need to send that out by the 10th at the latest. Although I suppose it could still be newsworthy if we had a team that walked in just club t-shirts and helmets. ;)

I was thinking of doing it in costume for affect. I don't know how everyone feels about walking 3K in costume though.

Is anyone other than TD-027 going to be walking in armor/costume?

Not quite sure about walking that far in my armor as the legs kinda rub together, but we'll see if I can't fix that before then.

Count the MadKid in. These new boots (which Saturday happened to be my first full day in) are incredibly comfortable!! I'd do a 10K in these babies! Money well spent. Besides, they double nicely as everyday boots, too! Wearing 'em now.

As my PADV outfit is non-armor, expect me to represent in full regalia...

I'm definite for this, I just have to be back in Geneva for work at 4pm.

I could walk in my Padme costume, if I can find it. :p

I was going to send the press release today, but I'll hold off until we have a team name. But I will need to send it out by/on Monday, so if we don't come up with something by then we'll just be Team Star Wars. :p

As for team names, the only good one that I can think of is "Take Star Wars to Heart".
