Buff, NY Rochester - Lilac Parade Invite 5/12/07

I received an invite from The Rebellion today:

Lilac Festival Parade
Saturday, May 12th 2007
kick off at 10:30am
Meet at Monroe Community Hospital (directions to be posted later) at 8:30am to get suited up.



Following the parade will be a bring a dish to pass cook-out.

 

Last year, scott, pete, and i went out there and it was a great time! I highly doubt i will be able to go again this year, but i would love to!

i wish i could, i need personal time to do that, and i am on probation for a year, so they can fire me for any reason!

 

Chirs, I know as of now I have the day off and can help out with something if you need me. Hopefully I can have my suit ready by then, but by the looks of my finances it might not happen.
Having a new car stinks sometimes.....

 

I should be good to go for that event. It's fun!

 

FYI - In about 2 weeks I'll be sending in the application (with rough head count) for this parade.
We can always add more people afterwards, but I'm trying to make sure I get the closest head count I can before sending in the application.

Folks are welcome to participate sans costume. We could use handlers in case of dropped costume pieces or photographers/videographers and of course everyone's welcome for the after parade picnic.

Just wanted to bump this up from page 3 as it is coming up in just 2 short weeks.

I should be getting my info packet from the parade committee next week and will have more details after that.
But based on previous years (and I don't foresee the plan changing for this year) we've met at Monroe Community Hospital (can post directions later) the same place where we'll be having the post parade picnic/party at 8:30am-ish.

As long as you get there before we start heading down to the line-up spot (will have that time after the info packet comes) it should be fine.

Carpool look good? Don't know for sure who is going, but it looks like us, Gil and Bryan are those interested. Oh, and Annie and gang!

 

I would like to firm up head counts of people marching and people attending the post parade picnic.

We'd just like to know so we don't overbuy too much on the food.
We will be celebrating The Rebellion's 6th Anniversary, Garrison Excelsior's 1st Anniversary, Star Wars 30th Anniversary and of course the end of another successful event with fellow SW fans.
If you are, please head over to this thread to let us know what (if anything) you'll be bringing to share so we don't have too many duplicates.

Right now (we still haven't received our confirmation packet yet) the plan is to meet at 8:30am in the parking lot near the pavilion (which I think is at the northern most end of the property) at the Monroe Community Hosptial. MCH is located at 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620. It is within eyesite of 390 so pretty easy to find. From the Thruway you would take Exit 46 for 390N. From 390N you want to get off at Exit 16 for East Henrietta Rd aka Route 15A. You turn right onto E Henrietta and MCH is the big building almost immediately to your left.

Not gonna' make it... Working

 

We'll be there for the parade, but we can't make it for the picnic.
We're meeting the inlaws afterwards for a Mother's Day luncheon.

 

I will have to let you know about attending, something may have come up with Mother's Day now....

 

I won't be able to make it, turns out this is the day before I graduate.

 

Gosh, It's too bad you guys can't make it, I was looking forward to hanging with yous again. Maybe try & reconsider, we've got folks coming from Canada & some up from PA,& Syracuse. It's a bummer that our Buffalo Buds aren't going to be able to join us.

Sam is misbehaving, Leto's teething, and
Aaron is pulling in extra hours this week!

If I don't escape Saturday for a massage
and sit by myself eating a "I Love It" double
fudge chocolate ice cream sundae, my hair
will fall out and I'll break out in hives!

weekend in the car with them, I may end
up in a nut house!
