But what does Paul Simon think? Is it bringing back bad memories?

All good bands, but you are severely limiting yourself if that's all you listen to. If you like all those bands, there is no reason for you to stop there. I am guessing you are too young to actually have been into any of those bands when they first became popular? You are missing out on a lot of good stuff. Start with Ween, The Flaming Lips, The Pixies...

Also, to stay on topic, as a rock star, my reaction was "Cool! I can't wait to see the actual movie!"

Would be nice to know what Ozzy thinks. Or Mike Shinoda, maybe Till Lindermann. Or if you have very good connections, Gackt.

To stay on topic as well, this is a great thread. Interesting reading opinions of musicians on another pop culture phenomenon.

As for the above-post: Leoluca Randisi , those are my favorites as well (I'm a PJ 10Club member), but you should definitely expand your horizons. Definitely check out the Pixies. I'm not a huge fan of the Flaming Lips or Ween, but I wouldn't discourage you from checking them out. Some newer bands I'd suggest as well are the now defunct At the Drive-In (start with Relationship of Command), and their offshoot Sparta.

Speaking of Jimi Hendrix, I would seriously have loved to hear his reactions to Star Wars if he had lived long enough to see it.

Fair warning - posting such images unless he is covered in flames, should be a bannable offense.

yeah, this annoys me, too. It's gotten to the point where you (not YOU, the general you) can't even have a purely academic discussion about Star Wars without throwing in how awful the prequels are. I watched a video on youtube recently, and it was supposed to be a funny video. Can't even remember what the subject of the video was, but it was something like, "top 20 whatever moments of the Star Wars saga" or something.

these moments were pulled from all 6 movies. Seemed like it was going to be an entertaining video with some humor. At one point they were like, "something something the Prequels, which were horrible". Gee, you're so edgy with your opinion there. You can't even make a funny video without inputting that opinion.

I can't speak for Tiny, but I'm pretty confident he wasn't presenting his opinion of the PT as a public service announcement. He was asked about his reaction, and that was part of the stream of thoughts and feelings that made it up. There's no flaw there.

Imagine if you could take the trailer back in time and show folks right after they saw ROTJ in the theater. People in the 80's would have been stunned at how good the special effects are nowadays.

But yeah I wonder what Justin Bieber thinks of it. Hate his music, but I've always thought that once he matures he might end up being a decent young man. Don't ask me why I think that lol

I want to see if the trailer reminds Keith Richards of Star Wars in the 1970s followed by seeing just how much of the 1970s he can actually remember. His autobiography blew me away.
