Post bereavement, I am encountering a few firsts, for me, since I'm the one in charge of the house now.

This morning, first time I am having to deal with a garden fence that blew down in last night's storm.

I think my mom has been encountering some of those firsts, because she and Grandpa worked together when her mother died and now it's just her and my dad. At least there's two of them.

 

As long as I have not been hoodwinked into believing this is real, I am real happy by what I see in the Star Wars: Rogue One teaser.

In the trailer, very excited to see Forest Whitaker. Normally, I can take him or leave him, however, one of the earliest films that I ever saw him in at the cinema, was a film called Ghost Dog, where he played a Samurai-trained hitman for the Chicago mob.

Really great with the katana, the Samurai honour and moves and stuff.

I was into judo at the time, so a movie centered around the main Japanese martial art and warrior class, was going to resonate pretty heavily.

To see him cast again, in a film with the likes of Donnie Yen, where sword or stickplay is suggested, excited to say the least.

Just got back from Indiana; the services went very well.

Will get caught up with tags when I can.

 

Glad to have you back, and that everything(?) went well.

 

I mean, as well as memorial services can go, it went well. Had several late nights and two days of traveling, as well as a thirty-degree temperature change, so I've picked up the beginning of a cold that I will make go away (hopefully). But I learned a lot more about my grandfather and who he was to other people in other times in his life, and the church was packed and the chief of police shared thoughts in the open mike time. So it was good as far as it could be good.

Now, to go see about those tags...

 

Hey all, sorry I'm online late today. I had a Memorial Service to go to for a friend who lost her husband. So a few quick things...

1) Last weekend I got married (hence why I wasn't online)

2) This weekend we got blizzard in and I've been stuck in Copyright stuff at the moment all day yesterday (argh)

3) I'm out of town next weekend

WITH ALL OF THAT said, I do have some GOOD NEWS. I now have the ability to read the game's posts on my new tablet, which will be making my life much easier with keeping up.

Give me until Monday night and I'll have a PM reply to Laine_Snowtrekker and two posts done, one for Bardan_Jusik and one for "He".

Aside from all that, my weekend game working plans will hopefully finally go into effect after next weekend.

I feel horrible keep saying that, but DRL is DRL. I don't dare want to give up, because I have talked to my wife before about how dear Echoes and you all are to me. I know DRL will straighten itself out here soon, its just I wish it would do it now.

I typed up a Bridge post at work; printed and took it home; but DRL has prevented me re-typing to post.

Difficulty getting garden fence people to visit; and I have engaged an accountant to help with the tax part of probate.

Veeerrryyy interesting that Evalynne's feelings about the smile instruction was not the expected kneejerk refusal, but borne of a long litany of social class instruction and dinner parties.

I was most intrigued and impressed.

 

I am trying to play with my character sheet in mind, revealing little insights to her life before the Mercs. It's also why she's no fan of the Empire.

Men's Retreat is over a bit sooner then planned....flu last weekend. Back in the saddle earlier then planned.

Sith-I-5 I am going to be finishing up the "He" and Zat storylines, so I can get everyone aboard that King II, then feel free to place me where you need me for your side of the action.
