Been homeless for over a month and cannot find a place that both I and my Mom can agree on as a good place to live. Either it's too small and I have no better or worse chances for my job specialty there or its too big and she has problems with it. That's an over simplification but if you want elaboration I'm open to PMs, and so figured return to land I know, and only have lived in in my life, and have friends to help out at for a year, get a part time job, finish the final one class I haven't taken for the degree in the spring, and then next year get a job and move wherever first instead of doing in reverse as attempted this time. Although I now know a lot more about different places, such as Ontario, BC, Yukon, and a whole heep of what the south USA considers the north.

Good afternoon tyratoku! I am sorry for the late reply. We are recruiting and you are more then welcome to join! :D

While Intervention is a "starfighter" role playing game, we have more or less become more like a Wraith Squadron over 4 years, relying more and more on commando actions. I foresee in the next game, Echoes in Eternity, that we will contuine that trend. So, as CPL noted, your character's skill factor as a starfighter pilot is not a factor.

Go ahead and send me a PM with your character sheet and we'll go from there! :D We (or maybe just me :p ) are rather stingy on the use of the Force, so any Force based characters are restricted to Luke Skywalker's ability in A New Hope and "development" of Force abilities is rather slow at the moment.

    Thank you. [face_blush]

But she's not dead yet, the Dawn Treader is only mostly dead. :p

I plan a somewhat...unorthodox post which will detail her final...disposition.

I played Star Wars: Edge of the Empire last Tuesday night. I bought the Core Rule book that night; I'm not much of a table top rper, but I'm enjoying my first real jump into it and will see where it goes. But I'm slowly going through the Core Rule book to see what adaptations we can make to Intervention---I'm already looking at redoing the character sheets and adding some new ships they added in the book.

Thanks Bravo! I'm out of town until Wednesday. I'll try and send you my character sheet then. I figured I'm not in too much of a rush now since I'm not officially in yet.

Can't wait to get this started.

Anyone know offhand where we are on enemy numbers? I know falcon and I each killed the two fighters that were behind us, totaling four. Then I killed three of the bombers and the damaged TIE.

I've got the numbers at 3 active TIE Fighters, 6 active TIE Bombers from the group I sent in. Waiting to see if CPL_Macja whittles those numbers down any more before I make another Crusader/Dawn Treader/Keffler post.

Posted a development for the battle. DD knocked two TIE bombers off your count.

Copying Bardan's thing of OOCing in the thread, then here: In my world, I acknowledge that the Nebulon-B frigate's is physically interior space is too small to carry TIEs, regardless of what the books say, so I always deploy V-Wings from any that I roleplay.

Except Gorax Four, please feel free to post damage for any Gorax V-Wing that I am not nrc-ing.

    EDIT

V-Wings weren't until the New Republic...

And I don't know Sith, if a CR90 Corellian Corvette carry 4 TIEs or X-Wings in it's forward smaller hanger bay, then a EF76 Nebulon-B Frigate should be able to hold 24 TIEs at almost 3 times its size. I mean, the forward section of the Neb-B is rather big and if you look at the Rebel's medical frigate against the ImpStar in ROTJ at Endor, the frigate does look big.

V-Wing airspeeders were not until the New Republic. V-Wing starfighters were in Revenge of the Sith.

It is big, but look at the different portions, and given the size of the Falcon when it was attached the Medical Frigate, and Luke and Leia standing at the window of the central spar, then consider the big hexagonal wings on a TIE, compared to the cockpit, and tell me where in the superstructure 24 TIE fighters are gonna go?

An argument could be made against V-Wings too, but they can fold their s-foils down, so seems more physically manageable to fit those in rather than TIEs.

X-Wings are low and long, while TIE have considerable height compared to a person because of the solar panels, which is the sticking point for me.

Quick question. I was looking up the stats and reading up on the v-wing, and on wookiepedia it says it has a MLGT of 75, but reading the article it said it filled the role of an interceptor for the republic and empire. And when I looked at the stats on the ARC-170 it shows it having a top speed of 100 MLGT. So how are we viewing the V-Wings, fast and agile, or could I out run it with my ship? Or is it a mix between the two, agile but not able to keep up in race. It shouldnt matter for my current post, just wondering for the next couple.

EDIT: Also since jensen is new I'm assuming that he doesnt have any of the personal comm codes or anything just the squad one.

EDIT 2: Also is there an aviation term for up and down, since in space there is no up or down.

First, apologies if my last post was a bit late. Been a busy week. Second:

I've always just thought of it as either climbing or diving. Of course up and down is convoluted in space, but you're roleplaying from the perspective of a pilot, and that's the important thing to remember. From the perspective of any pilot, space or not, there is up and down for the current heading. You can go straight, break port or starboard, or go up and down.
And really that's pretty standard dogfighting (at least from the last time there was any dogfighting in human history) At least that's how I've seen it. Feel free to correct me anyone, I'm far from an expert.
