Idiotic remakes. Entirely new meaning to "Let's do the Time Warp... again". I will join the mob of raging middle aged scenesters who do the midnight showing of the new version solely to revile it and hurl insults. I'm quite adept at live Rocky Horror badgering. Cult movies aren't manufactured. Their "birth" is the antithesis of that kind of thinking. And you can't just remake one using the same script and make it a cult movie any more than I can pick up a guitar and play Purple Haze and call my self Jimi Hendrix.
I don't know who they think their audience is with this. Longtime fans, the ones who dress up and sing along at screenings, won't support this, and the rest of the human race doesn't care.
Not to mention it was really a product of it's time. No movie remake will ever be able to touch that.
