Congrats to the LAPD for a job.... well done.

 

Firebomb the house and watch Dorner roast...on national television. Law enforcement has certainly learned the lesson of Waco.

Poor CNN. You could almost hear the sound of Anderson Cooper's soul tearing in two as he ripped himself away from the bonfire to cut to the president's speech.

 

Welp. The man set out to prove a point, and I do believe he accomplished that goal.

 

He's not doing the SOTU speech. He flipped over to HLN (CNN"s sister station) to cover Dorner's dimise and Blitzer's covering the SOTU.

Downside is he has to host the bonfire coverage with Nancy "I drove somebody to suicide and I don't care" Grace.

EDIT: Well they did make sure nobody else was in the house with Dorner before they roasted it.

 

I have no idea if Dorner was right or wrong regardng the incident that led to all this, but killing innocents (daughter of a cop, etc.) - sorry, I have no sympathy for him.

 

Maybe in hell Dorner will be chained at the ankle with Andrew Cunanan, and they'll be forced to reenact scenes from the movie "Fled" for all eternity.

 

Glad I muted it then. That would have gotten as annoying as Karl Rove insisting on not calling the Presidency for Obama even as all indicators were that Romney had lost.

I was kind of surprised that the LAPD came out saying that no body has been found yet. But at the same time, the media is very quick to jump the gun (pun not intended) (see Adam Lanza's brother).

 

Pfft. Yeah RIGHT. Crap like this is like porn to the mass media. Soon we will have pundits playing armchair psychology, while repeating Chris Dorner's name over and over as long as it gets web hits and viewership ratings.

Nancy Grace and her ilk simply use the blood of the victims as warm lube for their jollies.

Has it occurred to anyone that this showdown with the burning cabin and the outnumbered but heavily armed guy inside is just like the ending to Skyfall?

 

And his motivations are similar to Silva's, 'betrayed' by his superiors and now seeking revenge on them all.

 

Not surprising, though, since that man/mayoral ship has been a failure & embarrassment for Los Angeles.

 

Los Angeles is an embarrassment generally.

 

So, why does our tear gas always seem to lead to fire? This seems to work wrong.
