That's what I thought to, but then I played it constantly for about a week and after playing it over and over again I was able to become good enough at it to achieve gold. If I were you I would go for Fest before Sullust it is MUCH easier. Actually I can't see how you are capable of getting gold on Moff Seerdon's Revenge but not Fest.

    fest i usually screw up.

i was flying at a bomber and i missed it and it blew oneof the walkers, really sucks.

sullust might be easier but there are to many missile turrets
my best time on that level is 4:31

You lose time whenever you die. I think that means if you die more than 3 times with IGIVEUP you run out of time to get gold. Without the code you would go gameover after 3 deaths.

its the only code i use.
i only use deaddack if i want to play the battle of hoth.
so we do lose timein death? thats not good...
    what about in game movies?

When I play Sullust as the TIE Interceptor, I get shot down quite a bit, but I can still do it in time to get the Gold. I like using it because it's extremely fast and agile, so it can avoid most of the missiles, and 4 or 5 quad-bursts are sufficienct for blowing the generators.

the naboo foghter is similarly good.
but i think its an ugly vehicle
what makes it better than the tie are the missiles. thats why i use it for fast missions

I just use the Y-Wing. I just unload a bunch of bombs on the turrets and that generator or whatever it is. The only time I ever use the blasters is when I destroy that big floating thing.

Yeah it gets shot down. But I use IGIVEUP on Sullust. That's the only level I use IGIVEUP on though I think I might have used it on Thyferra once. Anyway I was able to get the gold. I completed the mission 3:47. I believe 4:00 is what is needed for gold.

Hey everyone, I'd just like to boast that I've got gold on every single level without the use of any cheat codes - am I Luke Skywalker or what? And in response to the earlier "which is hardest?" question, it was Sullust that made me the most sick.

God DAMN this is a good game.

Has anybody really tried finishing the game using only the Millenium Falcon? I think that's what I'm going to do next.

I only used the cheat code on Sullust. There was no way I was gonna be able to get gold on that level without IGIVEUP. Someday I hope to be good enough to be able to achieve gold on Sullust without infinite lives.

BTW I think Rogue Squadron is the best game ever for any system. However I must admit Rogue Leader will definitely be better.

got a gold on fest :D

and sullust is still giving me a hard time.
my new best time is 4:21

one time there was one thingy left on the capacitor and no matter how many times i shot it it would not blow up... my time was 7:39 but i gave up so god knows...

    i hate editing...
guess what i just beat the game :D
    3:41 on sullust.
in the end movie it would have been cool to show hte cadilaac rather than the v-wing which is the worst vehicle

Congratulations on getting gold on Fest! 4:21 is pretty close. You'll get it eventually. ;)

Rogue Squadron does seem to have its fair share of glitches. The "invincible capacitor" is a well-known one.

Dimetrodon - want to smash every level of Rogue Squadron? Learn to use the V-Wing!!

I'm telling you, once you get the hang of the rapid fire and the tight turns, you cannot fail on levels like Moff Seerdon's Revenge. And those cluster seeker missiles are fantastic.

While I'm here, anybody know how to aim the guns on the Falcon? I try to shoot forwards and the guns are looking for targets over to my left somewhere.

Tell you what, though. Those quad guns pack a punch.

And Chewie's not going to be happy.

The Falcon also crashes a lot. Whenever I go on a strafing run of a target, I always seem to crash some distance away from the ground.

Aha, as I discovered last night. So I gave up and am trying with the TIE interceptor. It's got no shielding, but it's an absolute joy to drive. Lovely handling. I've cleared the first three levels with silver medals, so that's nice.

The challenge is down, if anyone cares to take it up.

I think the Falcon fires in different directions because there is someone else firing the other guns. I think it's probably Chewie or Han. It does suck that someone else has to fire the other one, but somebody has to fire that second gun.
