I have a Jedi costume, but no lightsaber (no boots either, for that matter). Is not having a lightsaber strange? haha

Making a lightsaber is very easy. The only problem is what you want it to look like, that is usually the hardest part. The best way to make one, is to follow the instructions from web sites. Some URLS that maybe of help is:

Lightsabers from the Big Yellow Box:
    http://bigyellowbox.tripod.com/choosesaber.htm

    The Padawan's Guide to Lightsabers:
    http://www.padawansguide.com/lightsabers.shtml

    Obi Wan's Jedi Academy:
    http://www.jedi-academy.com/

Here are three sites, and they have good rules. I spent about 30 dollars on the parts to build my saber.

I wish I had only spent $30 on mine.

But, alas mine is a Heiland EL saber (hehe) :)

Hey, I just found this board.

I'm not from KC, I'm from Joplin down south, but I'm a proud Missourian. I've been to Kansas City several times and it is one of my favorite cities.

Just a fellow Star Wars fan saying hello.

By the way, is anyone going to the Warped tour in KC this year? I'm going down with some of my pals, it is on June 21 or 22 I think.

I'm new here--just discovered this forum today, but I be here to stay.

I hail from Independence, Missouri, and I shall be attempting to repeat my tradition of being first in line for the prequel movies a third time come May; I will be doing so at the Independence AMC 20. My only hope is that there will be some GOOD, catchy, popular songs at that time of year, so that Movietunes won't become so horribly annoying after 9+ hours of waiting in line.

In 1999, "No Scrubs" was on the Movietunes playlist.... *tears hair out just thinking of it*

I've been here once in awhile, now in KC moved from Iowa. I am axious to meet other people who built SW props and costumes. I went to the comicon and was asked about my sabers and my son's jedi costume. I am currently helping with the AMC Olathe event. Does this goup ever get together? and if so when?
