This had better be for only one gig.

Their new stuff is better anyways. They are a bunch of fools for playing their 'classics' for so long.

What was that face value, Everton?

Richards actually used the term "latent misogyny"? This is another joke, right?

They haven't had a hit since the 80's anyway.

No they're not. If they make it known they're going to abandon the songs that made them great, then they'll sell less tickets for future tours. Their core audience is middle aged folks enjoying some longed for nostalgia.

Plus, the songs that make a band great are almost always better than the songs produced 'during greatness'.

    ...

    Ignant... £150.

Either way, the only really good album they had in my opinion was "Let It Bleed".
    So whatever.

"We are tired of being the soundtrack of the Baby Boomer generation," Keith Richards told the Herald, "especially as those cats stopped buying our albums in 1982 and took up aerobics".

"In the past 20 years we have released lots of songs that haven't been given a fair hearing, especially on my solo albums. It's time the fans recognised that."

Right. People do not pay to go and see Mick Jagger perform his interminable solo work... they go to see The Rolling Stones perform Rolling Stones hits.

Uhh. Actually that line refers to Richards solo works, not Jagger's...

I did indeed insert the wrong name.

    Still valid though.

Because he was quoted. If they play his solo hits, they'll play Jagger's.

I'll be at that show in Auckland over Easter, and I'm quite looking forward to hearing some of Charlie's jazz pieces played in a stadium setting.

All I can say is that it's a refreshing change. People were bound to stop buying tickets to their concerts if they kept playing the same old stuff.

I don't think so. Their most recent album, for instance, had (IMO) nothing even approaching the quality of their heyday.

    EDIT: Oh, lol.

Everton I was sure that you were just playacting.

And you can't say April Fools because it isn't where you are.

Nope. I'll lay it on the line. The fuss over the Stones gig being moved from Wembley had be freaked and I was susceptible to this.

    I was owned.
