Pacer Crag
Ronin

People suddenly moving, blaster shots... great time to have hindered motor skills, Pacer! He threw himself as hard as he could behind the bulkhead next to him, mostly out of fear then out of knowing what the heck he was doing, and in the process emptying most of his flask on himself and the floor of the ship. He let it fall to the ground and fumbled for his holster at his side - was there a cartridge in the blaster? Wait, is there a blaster in the holster? Oh, there is, good! Cartridge? Pacer slid it out. Yup! Charged? Huh. Guess he'll find out pretty quick.

But who's shooting at them? There was a trandoshan. A big. Scary. Trandoshan. Must be the bounty hunter out for Donovan. Okay then, no prob!

Pacer quickly thrust his head and blaster from behind the bulkhead and quickly searched for the trandoshan, and seeing something that most definitely looked like one, he rapidly pulled the trigger. Hey, it's charged! Now stop being surprised and work on hitting that guy!

He hid behind the bulkhead again. Things were going way to fast for him. He's an engineer, not a soldier! He hated it when he got in these situations. He shouted out at the top of his lungs to anyone on the ship that could help - that Clarissa gal, she always was sneaky enough to seem competent about something, maybe blaster fights - "Trandoshan trying to kill us at ramp! Assistance!!!"

Scout
Ronin, Mos Eisley

Scout waited expectantly. Figures moved, shrouded. He felt people responding to Grant?s call. A few waited. All waited. But, it wouldn?t last. No. It wouldn?t. He was sure. And, a second later, the room damn near exploded. One shot brought a cascade of many. It was all the push Scout needed.

Clearly shocking his keeper, Scout leaped high into the air, and kicked him in the face. He felt blaster bolts skim past his face, the energy warming his fur. His body moved faster than most, normal for him. When his feet touched down, he was up again nearly in the same muscle spasm. With a cheeky smile, the vibroblade in his sleeve shot out into the guard. He had been perfectly occupied by his broken nose, that he couldn?t react until it was over.

Scout ripped the knife out roughly and pushed off his feet for a third time. He aimed his jump to put him onto the Trandoshan?s shoulder. Thankful for his heightened senses, he dodged the reach of one of the burly leader?s henchmen. His left foot pushed off that one?s head and he tried to stab the knife into the large alien?s neck.

IC: Syn Kitezer
Outside The Ronin

Syn was quickly running out of patience waiting for someone to make a move, a second after thinking this, the area outside the Ronin erupted with blaster fire, and Syn reacted. He stepped behind the two thugs who were on each side of him, but had shifted there attention to ramp. The Nautolan used his elbow to smash the back of the thug to left's head, and sent him flying to the ground.

Syn satisfied that his first victim would not recover anytime soon, he looked over to second thug who had already turned his way and was leveling his blaster with his face. Syn crouched and exploded toward the henchman wrapping his arms around the man's legs, and lifting him into the air. A moment later the man had been slammed on his back, and had received several devastating punches in the face. Syn grabbed the unconscious man's blaster and looked up the ramp to where the rest of the action was taking place.

Clarissa Chell
The Ronin

Clarissa heard someone over the ship's speakers; a warning about a Trando and bad things happening to the crew. That's generally what blaster shots mean around here, thought Clarissa wryly. She slid under the panel, lowering it back into place as she knelt in the ship's innards.

The way she saw this, there were two routes she could take. She could find a way out of the ship and get the slip on them from the rear, or she could find an excuse for a path beneath the flooring and come at them from below. The issue with the second option was that, realistically, there was no way for that to happen. She didn't have a firearm of any kind, only her knife. If she found her way off the ship, then she was a sitting duck for any marksmen set up to cover the ship. So I can find a way behind them...hopefully.

She began to crawl towards the rear of the ship, sliding between pipes and wires. It wasn't easy, but nothing is.

IC: Captain Grant Donovan
Tatooine - Aboard the Ronin

As though on cue, everyone aboard the ship immediately joined in in the fighting. Even as Grant ducked behind cover, everything around him exploded into chaos. Galan continued to pour blaster fire down on Grant while Pacer shouted wildly, firing in the Trandoshan's general direction. Luckily, it appeared Pacer was at least sober enough to take cover, which was a good thing, as was the fact that Maya had also taken cover.

Then there was Scout, who had just broken free of his captor and was now assailing Galan directly. Scout's blade drew blood, but he was unable to sink it deep enough into Galan's neck before the Trandoshan shook him off. Scout flew several feet and hit the wall hard enough to knock the wind out of him - though not nearly hard enough to fully incapacitate him.

Galan, however, wasn't ready to give the squib a second chance. His attention was now firmly placed on Scout, and he now raised his gun, cranked up the power a notch, and prepared to fire. Scout, however, wasn't the only factor he would have to contend with; at that very instant, Kit was now ascending the ramp. Meanwhile, Clarissa had finally made it far back enough to reenter the fighting from the other side...

Scout grunted on impact and then hit his head on the ground. He looked up groggily, to see Galan aiming at his head. Sobering instantaneously, Scout rolled out of the way. The bolt scored black onto the durasteel. Scout pushed to his hands and knees and then leapt behind the guard he had killed. Scout could feel the vibration of blaster bolt after blaster bolt knocking harmlessly into the corpse.

He glanced around. In the thugs holster, was a slugthrower. Scout reached an grabbed it, ignoring the shots that nearly took off his hand. Scout crouched down and then hung the gun over his protection. Without aiming, he fired recklessly, with as much a chance of hitting Grant and his crew as an enemy. Scout yelled,
?Would some kill this kriffing guy??

Clarissa Chell
The Ronin

The sudden sounds of a struggle made Clarissa stop her crawling. The unmistakable sound of a blaster being fired was heard, far too close for comfort. With a sizzling sound, it hit, on the durasteel inches above her. The heat was strong, and she hoped beyond hope that there wouldn't be any slag to drip onto her. She squinted through her goggles, thankful for the protection they gave from the heat and the visibility they provided. She flicked a switch, and her view illuminated. In a perfect world, she'd have been able to stab the Trandoshan's foot through the metal, but this wasn't a perfect world.

Clarissa brought her knees up to her chest as best she could in the cramped quarters beneath the flooring. "This had better work," she whispered, taking a deep breath. And then she stopped.

No no no no, bad idea, jumping clean into the middle of it all. She sighed, slipping back into her crawling stance, moving back another three metres. And I'm not particularly in the mood to kick something made out of metal, she thought.

This was better. Take a short peek, get a glimpse of what was going on, get out there and end it. Or die trying. Can't have that just yet - still too much to do. Clarissa slid back, lifting the panel above her ever so slightly. What she could see was still obscured by the range of vision she had. She sunk down again, bringing the panel back into place. "Do it quick, do it...now!"

With a sudden surge of movement, Clarissa shot up with the panel, moving as quickly as possible. Please don't let him shoot blindly, please please please- She had her knife up, bringing it back, and the Trando must have seen her, he must have, -what's he doing? She threw the big knife as hard as she could, the blade spinning over itself towards the intruder.

Ronin

C'mon, Pacer, remember the old days. What did they teach you in training? Not to get into situations like this, but... Steady, calm, but quick. Now.

Pacer threw his head and arms out from the bulkhead again, this time investing several fractions of a second more to place the shot. He saw the target - right in the chest. He pulled. The moment the bolt went flying, Pacer caught in the corner of his eye another object flying, a knife, to be exact. Flying at the bad guy or at him? He didn't wait to find out and immediately ducked back into cover.

OOC: Sorry for my absence everybody. I was away for a few days, without internet access (though I expected to have internet access...) and then I just spent the past couple days getting caught up in general. I'm back now. In other news, I spent most of this post resisting the urge to use the word trifecta. Which is not a word you get to use all that often. Probably for good reasons, though I'm not entirely sure on that one.

IC: Captain Grant Donovan
Tatooine - Aboard the Ronin
[blockquote]Grant ducked back behind his cover as Scout's shots flew forth, ricocheting off walls, bullets wildly flying every which way. Not long after taking cover, Grant heard the sound of lead entering flesh; he looked up to see Galan recoiling in pain, shot in the chest. And then - right on time - a knife arced beautifully through the air and landed beautifully in the Trandoshan's neck. And to add insult to injury (or rather injury to injury to injury), at that very instant, Pacer sent forth another blaster bolt, this one landing square in Galan's chest.

Galan fell to this trio of attacks, dropping his blaster to the side as he hit the floor with a heavy thunk. Grant stood up, half-leaning on a control console in an effort to keep the weight off his injured leg. "Well," he sighed. "I guess that's all we'll be hearing from him for a while. Let's toss him off-board and get a move on."[/blockquote]

Ronin

Pacer slowly got up from behind the bulkhead, blaster still in hand. He surveyed the carnage with disbelief. His hands started to shake, and realizing this, he quickly holstered his blaster and picked up his flask from the floor. He looked at it dejectedly; all that good brandy going to waste. At least he had more. He could certainly use some more right now.

"Yeah, uh, Donovan..." Pacer saw him limp, "you okay? We... we got that doctor gal on here." Pacer pointed his thumb to the bridge. "She can do surgery if she has to, open heart if needed." Pacer forced a laugh at the end. He walked cautiously over to the dead trandoshan and nudged it with his foot, afraid that he would suddenly spring to life, and weary of touching him.

Clarissa Chell
The Ronin

Clarissa exhaled sharply, only just realizing she'd been holding her breath. Under the circumstances, it was probably best not to mention her doubts about throwing the knife. She hauled herself out of the ship's innards, soot and grease covering her body. She breathed deeply. "I am not doing that again." Stretching slowly, painfully, she walked over to the Trandoshan's body and yanked out her knife unceremoniously. "If anyone needs me, I'll be having a long and relaxing shower-" She caught sight of Donovan's limp, and she winced inwardly. She was at his side, holding his arm in a second. "-you're hurt. How do I help?"

Her shower would wait. Donovan was her first priority. If he's crippled, if he's hurt badly, then... She wasn't sure what she'd do, but she'd do something. This man was her future right now, and he had to be alive to make that happen. Alive and safe and secure.

And then she realized that there was yet another person on board who shouldn't be. Her hand gripped the knife tighter as she looked at the furry being. "Who are you, and why are you getting this ship shot up?"
