She'd been looking the other way when the Nemoidian had charged towards them. Good thing Yinko had been covering them. The Nemoidian fell and the vibroblade had taken out an entire wall of a building.

"Frak!" Talnar shouted in surprise. She didn't think that vibroblades were that powerful. Guess that showed what she knew.

All of a sudden she felt herself spun around as Bazak jumped onto Yinko's back for Maker knew why.

"Bazak, what are you doing?" Talnar shouted as she kept scanning the chaos for further threats, "Get off him! Yinko, how much further is it?"

Yinko was satisfied as the Nemoidian went crashing to the ground. He flinched as his weapon went sailing through the air and crashed through one of the shabby building. Suddenly, he felt someone trying to climb up his back. He reached back with one of his upper arms as he stood up, hoping to grab whoever it was by their clothes and slam them down in front of him and then ask the questions.

    The Rodian blinked hard.

"Bazak, what are you doing?" shouted the girl. He wasn't quite sure. He really needed a drink after he woke up from a nap. Next mission he's bringing something to wake him up better. The Codru-Ji's hands reached up for him. The Rodian however was small and nimble, the big guy was no match for him. Agility was not the front this guy wanted to be on, obviously. Octro easily dodged the two free arms and lept forward off of the large man's back.

Yinko missed the person on his back as they leapt forward. To his surprise it was the cowardly Rodian. He resisted the urge to squeeze teh trigger of his heavy repeater.

"Quit fooling around sith-brain." Yinko growled.

Bo looked around to get his bearings again, they were still two blocks away from the meeting point.

"We've got another two blocks Captain." Yinko answered Corporal Talnar. Captain would draw less attention than Corporal.

Yinko roughly shoved his way past the Rodian and headed up the street again.

Napp, who was still dragging the Yarkora behind him, rounded the corner after the wolf creature had disappeared around it. Among the stream of running Separatist troops, he could make out some familiar figures. It was the four-armed man he could see now; theoretically he had made it back. Checking to see that the sniper was still behind him, he dragged the Yarkora over to where the other Renegades were standing.

Although he was in pretty good shape to begin with, Napp had also been having to drag the drunk around with him for several blocks, so he had to take a moment to catch his breath. ?Found him,? he said to the foru-armed Codru-Jii, referring to Bosht. ?Time to go to Step 2.? He wasn?t quite sure what ?Step 2? would be exactly, as he was making most of this up as he went along, but it probably would involve pumping information out of Bosht and getting to the compound where the General was being held captive without getting killed. In other words, probably easier than finding Bosht in the first place. Or, at least he hoped that would be the case.

    He lost power.

Talvian screamed as he pushed the controls past the stops, accelerating the shuttle to escape velocity until finally, it shuddered and sparked to a halt, pushing hard through the storm. He'd made it into atmosphere, and that was when the panels went dark, when grav deactivated, when life support failed. He had only so much time. He looked back, reactivating his armor's hud. He saw the Jedi. He was fine. So far. Talvian turned to stare out the viewport as his ship spun dead through space. The Republic ships were laying waste to the city below.

Suddenly, a shape appeared in space.

The ship shuddered. It stopped spinning. It began to recede from the purple planet below.

The Lictor dungeon ship had activated its tractor beam and was reeling them in.

After Talvian's ship was secure, the dungeon ship jumped away.

Napp! Talnar didn't think she'd be so grateful to find the Feeorin in this chaos, but a wave of relief washed over her.

"What's Step 2?" Talnar asked immediately. She got the very real sense they were running out of time, "Does he know where the..." she didn't want to say Jedi in the middle of this crowd, who knew who might overhear, "...our friend is? I was kind of hoping now would be a good time to visit him given the circumstances."

And so the battle for Moorja came to an end.

The Renegades overcame considerable adversity in their quest to rescue the captured general, and indeed came closer than they might ever know to succeeding, but were unfortunately robbed of their chance at victory at the last second by the Republic's clumsy intervention.

The push to retrieve the general before the enemy extracted vital information allowed for the capture of the planetary capital and overall victory on the Moorja front, though the Mandalorians managed to escape with Gnaden and break through the planetary blockade while the Republic's forces were otherwise distracted. They have not been seen or heard from since, though the Jedi Order refuses to give up on the possibility of a rescue.

Though the Renegades did not succeed in their assigned task, they lived to fight another day, and were credited with preserving the life of a Republic Intelligence operative amidst the chaos of the invasion and retrieving information on a new model of aerial attack platform utilized by mercenaries in the service of the Separatists.

Recovering from wounds sustained during the final assault, Major Rostu thanked the Renegades for their efforts and noted his recommendation that they be commended for their service in his after action report. The Republic was preparing a counterattack in the Outer Rim in the aftermath of the recapture of the worlds lost to Durge's Lance, and the 44th Division would soon be transferred there to take part in the assault against the Separatist strongholds.

The mission may have been a failure, but the battle was won, and the war continues. The Renegades' work is far from done.

Thirty days have passed, and so out little game comes to an end. Unfortunately, due to a combination of factors, it seems we won't be able to end on much of a high note, for which I must apologize. I thank you for your participation, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Special thanks also go to BobaMatt: his assistance in the planning and execution of the game was invaluable.
