ROTK and line party

Given that Episode III is some time away, midnight on Tuesday December 16, I thought it would be nice to mention Return of the King. I just viewed the trailer (available here ) and was very impressed by it. ROTK will make FOTR and TTT pale in comparison. Also, I am organizing a line party for the movie. We'll meet beforehand, get some dinner before the show, and then wait together for ROTK at midnight at Crossroads 20 in Cary. Movie staff and security is guaranteed to be tight.
They will be on hand, examining ticket holders to
ensure only those with tickets for the marathon to
go in and out of the one theater for meals and
consession stand purchases.

Management said there is no limit for purchase, but he does expect a
sold out showing.

You're going to be in a tropical paradise while we are in NC, where it will most likely be very cold. What's the downside of the argument here??

 

I'm spoiled and I want to do both. Besides, I'm going on vaction with my parents and my other 4 siblings and thier families, in addition to my family...if it's anything like our family vacations were as a kid, it won't be that much of a paradise. I should get a tan out of it, though.

But seriously, I do wish I could go to the line party. It sounds like it would be super fun!

Yes, but I have some things you could borrow if you wanted to....

 

I'll buy a tire, spray paint it gold, then attach suspenders and hang it from my shoulders and I'll go as the ring. Easy and cheap, but effective nonetheless.

 

Last year there were Klingons at the RenFaire - thus the crossover bar seems extraordinarily low. Though I must admit I believe the Klingons got a few sidelong glances.

 

Actually, I do think your costume could easily make the cross-over.

 

Doggone it I wish I could be there with you guys for the LOTR marathon. It is too bad it is in the middle of December when I am the busiest of the year at my job.

 

We should have a LOTR party for the people who can't make it to the big one!

Hey guys - if you haven't done so already you may want to stroll over to the Movie Tickets website and purchase your trilogy tickets. They went on sale October 9 and I have heard that some shows are already selling out. Tickets are $25 per ticket and FOTR starts at 1pm with ROTK ending at 2am.
