Here guys, hopefully this works

I took some footage of Deb saber fighting while at the long line and rotoscoped it

What do ya think?

EDIT: This isn't a technically finished piece. Theres a missed frame and over laping, but what can ya do

You may need the latest quicktime If this doesn't work for you leave me a note and I'll plop up a DivX AVI too!

 

That's awesome, great job.
I espically like the look Deb gives the camera.
Kinda like she's saying..."Um...Are we done yet?"

 

The rotoscoping looks good! And now I know what Deb looks like.

Here's a roto test of my own (Sorenson 3, I think): Clickie

It's two of my cousins, one with my lightsabre, the other with two croquet mallet handles. It was pretty spontaneous, hence the wickets still in the grass. Finally, as the clip is titled, it has no sound. Someday I'll work that out...

Oh, right, I did see Deb in those pictures. I knew that...

Next time I'll figure out a better way for the flashes. How did you do yours?

For the sabres I used Ryan Wieber's tutorial with the multiple layers, gaussian blur, and colour balance. Oh, and of course lots of little white lines...This one

PS. Fortunately, Robbie (with the orange sabre) doesn't mind being blue and slightly transparent now...

 

A little more practise and you'll be with ILm in no time

 

tsk tsk.. you forgot to add the lightsaber reflections in the window as well...

Yes, you can see them in the window, for about a second near the end of the fight....

Did they ever in the films have reflections? Maybe they avoided it! lol!

 

Well the one instance I can think of off the top of my head is the floor during Jedi vs. Sith battle in TPM.
