i used to be a massive collector, but with my university enforced poverty my collection and knowledge has slipped in the past year or so. however i was under the impression that the ROTS figures weren't out yet, but i just found 8 different characters in my local woolworths.

For extreme anti-spoiler people i'll post the characters below

They were Mon Mothma, a heavily pregnant Padme, Kit Fisto, Dooku, Palpatine (chancellor), Red Imperial guard, some Zabrak i can't remember the name of and Plo Koon

is this a mistake by the shop or did i miss their release?

so is it a generally policy of stupidity by UK retail outlets or did their release pass me by?

You got lucky with those - they aren't supposed to be on sale until April 2nd. The only RoTS figures officially out are the 4 Sneak Preview figures. (And I have made a mental note to check my local Woolworths!)

thats what i thought, but i wasn't sure. it was only a little Woolworths local, not one of the huge ones. they were just tucked away and i only saw them by accident. they were placed on the shelf side on so you couldn't see what they were so i originally thought they'd be the previews

I've seen the sneak preview figures, but none of those you mentioned. I can't wait for the Unleashed figures, myself.

I saw unleashed Grievous, Obi-Wan and Anakin in the toyshop I mentioned. Obi-Wan and Anakin were so-so, but Grievous looked awesome.

I don't usually get action figures, because (no offence to any collectors) I tend to think most of them are pretty underwhelming. I did buy the four preview figures, but that was a spur of the moment thing... the first ROTS merchandise I had seen. If I buy any more ROTS figures, it will be because they strike me as excellent, and really embody the character and / or moment. The Clone Wars Grievous figure is one such figure.

I feel the same way. I bought a few last year, like some of the good VOTC ones and the excellent super poseable Clonetrooper, but the only ROTS figures I'll likely get are the Clonetroopers, just to build on my Jango/Boba/Storm Trooper collection.

i know that you can get them in toys r us but if you're looking for specialised ones you will be best off using the internet or e-bay.

i am considering buying the figures but i think it might be a little bit childlike for a 16 year old

Are you saying my owning a deluxe General Grievous makes me childish?

I haven't bought any SW figures since AOTC came out. I will be honest, I feel embarrassed going into Toys R Us to buy them incase someone see's me. I have let everyone here including myself down and I'm not proud of it. :(

    [face_shame_on_you] @ JonJedi

We SW geeks do not care what society thinks of us
Thats why we buy kids things and go around in public dressed as fictional characters
